So honestly, which team in what season is the next one the fanbase is more or less excited about.

Will it be football in 3 years? basketball again next year? 2 years for baseball? More? Still on board for baseball this year?

Place your prediction. Which team and season breaks the sour mood in the entire fanbase right now. Because it looks pretty friken bleak right now.

I’m more excited about football than anything else, but am expecting maybe 5 wins this year. Basketball will probably be decent again next year with baseball depending on if Lemonis is back or not.

There’s not one I’m excited about. You could maybe talk me into for basketball next year depending on what happens in the portal. Baseball could surprise us but last weekend sucked. I still think baseball has a chance to be OK this year, but I don’t see any clear line of sight to a good season in any of the three sports. Of course, the portal makes everything hard to predict more than a year ahead

Holding out hope for this baseball team ...for now.

Then I'll hope for a bowl in the fall, & be disappointed probably.

None right now. I'm already over this loss today but it sucks seeing Ole Miss up big on NC. Ole Miss is better than State at every sport that matters. Can State turn it around in the era of NIL? I think so but who knows. LSU just added about $13 mil to its NIL. That's added to what it already had. LSU has a billionaire hedge fund manager who apparently is a fan of LSU sports.

NIL has and will continue to sever any chance we have to compete. It’s a free for all. Nothing will change in football or baseball. Basketball is a wild card. I don’t think what happened to our team a month ago happens annually. Something somwhere turned it upside down. It was very obvious starting with the Mizzou game we endured. Until any sport plays defense and with some pride (which is lacking everywhere) we’re the bottom of the league. Wayyyyy down there.

might get a better response if it's made a poll

LSU baseball had the #1 rated freshman class and the #1 transfer portal.

I make no attempt to watch any MSU sports now for the fist time in my life. It's a weird feeling akin to not letting it steal my time & emotion for no reward. This is the lowest I've ever regarded State sports by far.

Of the big 3 basketball is the only one, currently, with promise next season. That is until Jans leaves for a lateral move after the season, and we hire someone with no head coach experience that no ones ever heard of. it can always get worse.

I recently heard a song called "Impressively Average" and the title pretty much sums up MSU athletics the last 4 years. Or, as my pre-teen says, "mid".
