So I have to ask....

Did we essentially drive the nail that closed UL's Orange Bowl coffin? If so, that makes the win even more fantastic. Living in this city over the past 11+ years has really made me despise everything about that athletic program, so it's been a holiday since Saturday's win. Cheers!
Looks like it. CFP Committee totally trolled Louisville by placing them right underneath FSU in the rankings. Hilarious. My understanding is that the highest-ranked ACC team not going to the CFP gets the Orange Bowl. Good job, UK! Their fans have been insufferable all year.

I've been listening in on a few of their radio shows on the way to/from the office (just to bask in the glory) and they are still convinced that the UL that played FSU is the team they actually are and all other sub-par performances are excused somehow but UK beating UL by playing well is simply a fluke. The simple truth is that UL blasted FSU and their freshman QB playing in his first road game, played Clemson close (due to some horrid CU TO's in the 2nd half) and then looked like nothing more than a solid football team the rest of the year. The scheduled helped keep their record looking good, but their team was never on a tier needed to be deserving of a spot in the playoffs. What should really scare them is that UK got better all year with a REALLY young team while UL got worse and are losing a ton from the roster.

Yeah, that's the pill they won't swallow. I am too superstitious, so I didn't call a win. But, I knew we'd at least give them fits. They played 2 good teams, one of which they completely ambushed early in the season (FSU). Simply put, LJ was the only player on their team that was heads and shoulders better than anyone on our team, and even now that's debatable. They were just overrated due to LJ, and looking at their current ranking, they still are.
