Those deputies needs to learn how to talk to people. That was a shitshow. She needs to cooperate and take it to court if she feels they are inforcing unlawful orders. Arguing you don't have to give information isn't how it works.
I’d have asked the deputies to put on masks and let them know they were endangering my household. Hahaha
Most likely there is more to this story...I am not sure that if put in the same situation, I would not have acted accordingly. Law enforcement is in a no-win situation...and someone will get hurt for a playdate gone wrong. We are on a slippery slope right now.
You are correct. People however need to comply then call their elected official. If they don't fix it elect a new official. She probably wasn't selling drugs or just killed someone so the deputies need to use better tact.

I am a huge supporter of men in blue but sometimes they get it wrong. Like I said there is more to this story but we are headed down a slippery slope.
How long will it be before we learn that they did DNA testing and have built a national DNA data base to stop Covid? Look no further than Michigan who was going to use contact tracing for political uses.
The problem there was the dickhead guy who was condescending to the lady. She asked which law she had violated and he shut his cockgobbler right up.
In that situation I would tell them to leave and not to come back without a warrant. No doubt about it. If they had been respectful I would act differently.
They acted like dicks but to clarify police only need probable cause to be on your property. People need to stop the anarchy silliness before someone gets hurt. Local governments have definitely overstepped during this. VOTE their asses out of office.
Look if you want to get shot by some young far left cop recruited by some far left politician knock yourself out. Or everyone could look at the guidelines that were given and if your local leader overstepped get rid of the lawmaker. I vote we have enough data and supplies to open. Complaing to the cops gets you no where. If you want to open your state start calling your local leaders and tell them to start the process or they aren't getting your vote.
Cops have probably busted people's heads for less than telling them to **** off and then not cooperating if/when they ask you who you are particularly if you start acting like her like some kind of **** house lawyer...I know my rights blah blah. An no. The police are not just following orders. They do not get a pass. They deserve great respect and they also have a responsibility. I am not suggesting people confront the police and get someone hurt but you have rights and lawyers and rights are there to protect you when they overstep the law. Know your rights and exercise them.
