Mostly because a lot of the DSR panel will be there. One other hearty reason is that @DeanOfSelection 's mom went to GW.

I have it on good authority that MS brings back a ton. The hitters, we know will play great defense, smaller, but quick. Plus, i'm not sure i've ever seen a hitters defender miss a tackle.

MS was an enigma to me last season. I had completely written them off as another MS team that voters placed high confidence in simply on their name...as the season bore out, this seemed to be the case....until we hit the playoffs. The rest is history as Swag U returned to glory.

All year I was down down down (like 3-11) on GW. However, great coaching OFFENSIVELY allowed them to overachieve on determination and discipline. It was impressive to see.

Now, we get another GW and MS classic opener. Awesome. Both teams typically open with great games, now we get to see them face off.

I see MS scoring first on a quick play. I see MS scoring again before GW settles in. With a score lead, I see GW tighten up the ranks, get a good drive, traditional GW style, and eventually tie the game sometime near the middle of the third. TO BE CONTINUED>>>

Hard to dispute that MS/GBW is Game of the Week 1, or at the very least, Game of the Week (Saturday) of Week 1. How about Game of the Week (Friday) of Week 1? Crete-Monee @ LWE would surely be in that conversation. Others to remind us of?

What used to be called the "Bones Bowl" has been renamed the "Bounce Back Bowl"

Raiders v Mustangs produced 5 hell-of-a games from 2007-2010 with margins of victory of 3, 1, 2, 3(ihsa has the score wrong), and 7 with all going down to the final seconds before the 2011 debacle. Hopefully this game will be the spring board that makes both programs great again!

That said GBW-MS is the hot ticket.

I'm gonna lay this out there but I think we are looking at 28-28 halftime score.

Hetlet makes the halftime adjustments and a final score of 49-35.

Call me crazy

Since the DSR GOTW is on a saturday I should be there. Otherwise I can't miss the roadrunners.

If it is that high I don't think it is good for MS.

GW is going to score in huge bunches this year. Last year, they struggled with their offense early, but I just don't see that happening this years. Biggest question is the GW defense. Smaller up front and inexperienced on the second level, Hetlet will have to work some magic early in the season or they are going to be in some track meets.

My guess is The Greek Freak will find space early and that MS oline will establish some lanes. I think the half time adjustments will be key.

Bottom line is that this is not the game to show up late. O/U in first half is 42, imho.
