Every time I see these things and I don't see any mention of defense, I just cannot get excited.

He’s better than the three freshman we have now and has more upside. He was a late bloomer growing and can be a Gordon Hayward type.
I don’t think he’s better than the 3 we have, not all of them anyway. And I guess your other point depends on how you define “late bloomer.”

With 15 scholarships it might be harder than people think to find guys who want to transfer to a school only to be option 14 or 15.
Which is why you go after Kentucky kids. They are the ones that will be willing to sit the bench and wait for their number to be called.

Thank goodness Trent Noah and Travis Perry didn’t mind sitting the bench this season. We might not be where we are today without them.

There have always been walkons. They just get paid to go to college now instead of applying to FAFSA.

I can’t wrap my head around getting paid major dollars (6 figures) and all the perks that go along with it to sit on the bench at KY and not being able to find 15 kids willing too do it. 95% of these players will never sniff a professional career in basketball so while sifting through endless talent is daunting in the portal we should have a full roster of talent yearly.

What is his vertical and his wingspan? Sorry, that was the old regime criteria.

This kid would at most be a deep bench piece. Holy Cross is a bad team in what's arguably one of the worst conferences (Patriot League) in D1. The level of play is not good at all. I follow it somewhat because my undergrad alma mater is American University, who won the conference this year. Again, no disrespect to the kid intended, it just is what it is.

Green is way to pale for 85% of this board they would say no to Florida’s two bigs & McNeeley
They like watching the Dragon Whitney types on And1 tapes on YouTube
I don’t necessarily agree with your percentages, I think people who root for Kentucky don’t care what color their players are as long as they win.

He is better than two of them and probably Chandler as well.

Late bloomer as in grew late. He already had the skill. Some kids gets tall after the recruiting radar.

Look at Thiero. Who was a nobody coming out of HS.
