Hurley is a weird dude.

He was amazing the last 2 seasons and winning all 12 ncaa games by double digits will never be matched going forward.

He clearly has some mental issues and is an ahole. He also clearly isn't all in at uconn. A down year is fine but his attitude on top of it grinds on people

Some people can't handle success. Hurley appears to be one of them.

That bidding war for his coaching services that exceeded $10M per year was the worst thing that could happen to that dude, evidently.

Shades of Cal, UCLA, and the lifetime contract. Cal was never the same afterward.
Indiana might make a $$$ run at him

Hurley was the one telling his team to foul up 3 with 9 secs left. When you foul with that much time left up 3 you always leave yourself open more to a loss because they can hit both FT's and then anything can happen down 1.

I would never foul up 3 with more than 5 secs left the whole point to fouling up 3 is you foul them with so little time left they are forced to miss the 2nd FT on purpose have to get the rebound and score again.

Teams are now fouling way too early up 3 with 10 to 15 secs left and when you do that you open the chance to lose much more often then normal.

UCONN has obviously been a great program the last 25 years but they have also been very fortunate in a lot of their runs.

the hurley’s were always whiners. as players it was embarrassing. they’d flop or commit a foul and act like you disrespected them. you’d think with a legendary high school coach for a father and being from the city that they’d be mentally tougher when handling refs. they cry quickly.

Snatched defeat from the hands of victory and Hurley whined like a TikTok dork the whole game. So glad we didn't end up with that dick.
