American “extreme right”.

Describes around 500 people.

American “extreme left”.

describes around 80% of one major party.

That used to be true regarding the extreme right. Now if you believe in free speech, the right to choose whether you wear a mask, the right to choose whether or not to get an unproven vaccine, and a host of other previously accepted basic freedoms, you’re now “extreme right”.

I see lefties openly mocking conservatives by saying the word “freedom” in a mocking tone on a very regular basis. So now freedom represents the extreme right.

He didn’t really. He didn’t even create Tesla. He just bought into an already existing company after it was founded, eventually forced out the original founders, took an existing electric car (AC Propulsion tzero), put it into the chassis of a Lotus Elise, and mass produced it. And let’s not forget the massive half a billion dollar loan Tesla took from Uncle Sam to develop the Model S.

He’s a business man with a hypocritical streak (speaks out against government subsidies but has received almost $5 billion of them since 2015) but he’s not an inventor.
If your a businessman and the government offers you money to do something, you take it. It's business!! If I'm a baker, and some gay people want a cake, you bake it! But if you oppose gay marriage for religious reasons, you decline to bake the cake. The gay people should find someone who wants their business, not try to coerce the baker by bringing the full weight of the government down on the baker.

See how easy sanity is.

Must is a visionary. Not only that, he is a visionary who can form ideas into realities by leading people to it. By 2050 he plans on having Mars colonized and having taken 1 million people to Mars, many who are just taking a space travel trip. At first you go, yeah right, then you remember Musk is doing it and you sit back and wonder if he'll make his timeframe. The man makes things happen. As for funding abortions, it's a business move. I'm sure it was merely a concession to avoid losing talent in the move to Texas, nothing more.
He will. His history of commercializing cutting edge technology is unbelievable. He’s normalized accomplishing exceptional innovation. He’s already talked about how the tech is already nearly meeting specs to travel to the mars. He’ll have that first launch before you know it.

This flies in the face of the pro life movement and is 100% legal. I’m of the opinion Roe V Wade was an unconstitutional ruling and it should be left up to the states. That means you have the right to go to a state where it’s legal to get it done if you so desire. You shouldn’t be able to force all states to participate though. Musk is just pro freedom apparently and doesn’t fall into any political category.

What about Texas threatening to arrest women if they go out of state to get an abortion? That 💩 hole sjod be given to Mexico for X amount of immigrants

Anything that pisses off the extreme left or right is probably good for our country
Completely agree. Most people are between the two political extremes that seem to dominate our politics.
I can't tell which party he might identify with. That's exactly how it should be.

People need to get beyond party identification and affiliation and start focusing on ideas and solutions
This is absolutely correct. Like-why should your views simply be whatever your preferred political party thinks they should be?

Haha, this thread is about Musk, not Texas. Although Texas is clearly one of our truly great states. If certain people don’t like it there, they should leave. I hear California Communist Party is accepting applications…

Not sure what you’re talking about or why? You defending the dickish post I was referring to or just trying to make a point and missing?
Did it read like a defense?

His take sounds a great deal like the take of the founder of Planned Parenthood.

I keep hearing that the purchase might actually not go through. I like his goal in principle - an actual non-biased place for news and current events - just not sure how practical it is to expect that. But I would love to see someone try.
