So no discussion about Fitzgerald?

Having once attended a game in Evanston, plus owning a purple T-shirt of obscure origin, and after reading this thread with its attendant emotional and psychological damage, my local ambulance chaser advises me that I now have the proper standing to sue NW for $3,000,000.00. (Additionally the above sentence may be one of the longest in board History). Which raises another cause of action, mental confusion, that destroys brevity when typing.

From the article:
This is a prestigious job. Northwestern is located next to a major city (Chicago) with tremendous resources and the backing of one of the most prestigious academic schools in the nation. It is a Power Five job brimming with potential.

How could any writer type that with a straight face??? Backing of the academic school??? Let's count the number of Big 10 titles in its prestigious history..... six shared titles and two outright, last one being in 1995 and a Rose Bowl berth for the first time in 50 years.....

Safe bet in our nation today. If you haven't felt discriminated against or have not been abused....you have not been paying attention.
Why overcome adversity when you can point fingers and get rich.

Only so many p5 jobs and thousands of coaches trying to climb the mountain. Go there and be ,500 and your stock is high.

All aboard the money train for every failure and malcontent. Funny how someone who didn't go public in 2004 or 2009 or 2015 suddenly is traumatized and seeks damages. I hate them more than I hate us.

Misunderstanding. It isn’t the money. It’s the lawsuit giving the victims a voice. Justice!

Never ceases to amaze me how all the players at Northwestern have been quiet and not peep about hazing. As soon as it goes public they lining up in droves to sue NU and Fitzgerald. Why did no one come forward before now? But once it is in public everyone piles on...
It’s called “getting yours”.

It appears that running sprints for punishment is despicable hazing, but can be justified as conditioning. Same result??

Imagine screwing up and being told to run laps? Horrific! I can't take any more. Imagine if I came home and complained to my Dad...a WW2 Combat vet.. that my coach made me run? We're at the end of the road in this country. Glad I'm not long for this world.

This continues to snowball. I am now seriously thinking that Northwestern athletics is in jeopardy.

The administration obviously does not care about success. Faculty members are on record petitioning against their stadium project. The students and alumni are not coming to support what is left of their programs. Fans have little interest based on attendance.

They may well lose every game their football team plays this year. Even if they play Howard.

With Notre Dame waiting in the wings the B1G might well add pressure that could sink this ship. That might well benefit everyone.

ND isn’t waiting in the wings. They are too arrogant and tone deaf to realize a good opportunity when it arises.

Running sprints is hazing? WTF is happening to this country. The Chinese are going to just walk in unopposed

In all honesty I am glad to be on the back nine in life. If this is where we are going as a country and society I am glad I won't see it. I feel bad for my kids I am leaving them this mess. $30 trillion in debt and a mess as a society and country. SMDH...

If running sprints was hazing, then UCLA's John Wooden is in big ****. Watched one of their practices years ago and during layups it went something like this made 1,2,3,4,miss = 4 laps ... 1,2,3,4,...19,20,21,miss= 21 laps ... went on until the team made 25 straight. Same thing from both sides, also free throws.

Now their student-athletes will know that it’s wrong to sodomize other student-athletes. Better late than never, I suppose.
