I'm sure Amari got under his skin, 100%. Amari was completely cool after he got pushed, he knew he got under his skin, and he knew he was likely gonna get tossed for it. He was all grins. Shoulda been tossed...
Experience; thats one big reason we are winning it all.

Peters. Wife gave him a piece of her mind. I threw in a couple of comments. The coach said “ you’re a grown man”. Oh well. I felt better. Was great being next to him in the stairwell.

I would've responded with "So are you and you let your dudes act like pricks." Seriously, that was a bush leauge move and Williams could've been hurt. Any coach that lets their dude do that, is a NOT a man at all.

I never could have predicted the chance encounter. And I’ll never forget it. One of his teammates called me a punk. It was absolutely gold.

I kind of agree with his coach on this. Kid certainly played dirty and deserved the booing. He doesn’t appear to have any skill that makes him a D1 player. Give him crap from the stands, talk about it online, say he sucks, but leave it at that.

I created a thread asking the same thing. The ref definitely tossed someone and was looking directly at him. Also he went directly to the locker room. One person responded saying the refs brought him back out so he could see the butt kicking they were now going to get because of him. 😂

He’s a jerk because his parents named him like a comic book character. I think Peter Parker embarrassed Clash Peters one time at school when he didn’t know he was Spider-Man.
Or his mother, the lead singer of a punk band named him after one of the greatest punk bands ever?

They’re not “kids” anymore. D1 basketball players are able to make money with NIL. Making them employees and no long amateurs. I see no reason why you can’t tell em off now

Doesn't matter if he is paid or not. Your ticket or fandom does not give you the right to harrass a sports participant in public.

They’re professional athletes now, all bets are off

I wouldn’t do it but I don’t think it’s a big deal now.

You shouldn't harrass people in public. Particularly strangers. That is not how civilized people interact.

He wasn’t harrsssed. He was told he is a dirty player. Maybe he will learn from it. The coach did him no favors by putting back in the game. He could have ended a career last night.
Call it a verbal reprimand from a stranger if you like. The point is you are someone who has no role in the situation.

You're not the coach, the ref, the SEC, the NCAA, or a participant.

His actions during the game were wrong. Your actions after the game were wrong.

That incident finally got Williams going. Up until then he had contributed nothing

You seem to be the only one bothered by it.
What you are doing could also be considered harrassment as well couldn’t it?

Some of the best lessons learned are from strangers. The guy was smiling on the bench after he fouled out (as he was being booed loudly). Thought it was funny. He wasn’t smiling in the stairwell at least. That’s all I have on the matter. Right or wrong

Peters, the 6-foot-9 forward finished his night with zero points, zero rebounds, zero assists, and three turnovers before ultimately fouling out after 12 minutes of game time.
