Since the backup QB is the most popular guy in the state...how long before people are saying pull Vedral and bring in Mccaffrey??RollingLaugh

In all seriousness though, should they have had Bunch go in instead. They may want Luke to be available for 4 full games if Martinez is out long.

As soon as the struggle begins..

Everything is always the qb’s fault to some people. It’s not the guy who missed his block or dropped a ball.

In all actuality it’s sometimes the QB’s fault, sometimes it’s the other guy who missed his assignments fault.

Frost had already said Vedral was the number two QB. But if AM is out the next game and Vedral is struggling.....I'm sure there will be those wanting Vedral benched....and Bunch put in .

I think we all know already that McCaffery has more potential than Vedral. But we also know he needs to redshirt. But man... The 2 times Vedral has been in this year we've had a spark of energy that just isn't there with Martinez this year for some odd reason.

If Vedral starts turning the ball over like AM there will and should be calls to put in somebody else.

Going in to the game Martinez was among the worst in the nation in turning the ball over so it's not exactly like people have been totally unjust in wanting to see someone else given a shot at QB.

I’m not outraged by it and on a scale of 1-10 it rates about a 1.5 for me. Just a passing thought more than anything.

Truth is McCaffrey is next man up regardless and if Vedral gets injured next game and Martinez is out then they aren’t caring about his redshirt at that point anyway

Mo would get hurt shopping at Hy Vee.
This. Add to that the fact he can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Sat first half for disciplinary reasons again. I am not counting on him to mature over the next weeks. If he plays and plays well, then hooray for us. But right now he just seems like an overrated Prima Dona

Are the stats correct for the mo man? 5 rushes for 1 yard?
Well, he avoided injury.

Ps... penny, my hat’s off to ya! Drinking bourbon, staying the course ‘til the wee hours of the a.m. & up early posting!! That’s determination.

Prima Donna? Maybe
Injury prone? Seems like it
But overrated? I don’t think so. MO is a special player when he can actually play.
Which is why it’s so frustrating

Not sure what's been going on, but nobody can deny that AM hasn't been what we expected to see this year. Injury that we are unaware of? Mental? Lack of confidence in his other 10 or himself? Got slower? Playing scared of getting hurt? You can argue the reason as the day is long.

But the fact is vedral came in and orchestrated a drive that got us into position to win the game. Thank goodness for the int to have the opportunity to get the chance.

But vedral came in and played well and brought a spark.

Hope AM is ok. But regardless, if he's ok to start next week, we have to be willing to make the change if he struggles.

I think Bunch would be the guy if we needed somebody for an extended period. It's not like they had a lot of time to debate who to put in when Vedral's helmet came off. I don't think they wanted to burn a time out to decide or for Bunch to find his helmet.

I said it several months ago. LM is our best QB and will be starting in November.
