I will miss you and am saddened that things are this pathetic with the program. One step forward, 2 steps back this season. It’s been several years of this. And now we watch a poverty program like Indiana have a meteoric rise to the top. Mid season coaching changes are needed again, it can’t wait until December to try something different at OL. The athletic director is thrilled because now they serve beer and fancy nachos in memorial stadium and now the head coach is apparently spending his time day dreaming about the possibility of going back home to coach. On field results say all that we need to know. This program isn’t serious about winning.
It is definitely a weird time in college football. Indiana and Vanderbilt are better than Nebraska and Florida. The two worst programs in College football history are making the most out of being at the big boy table conferences. Maybe that means Nebraska will be good at basketball in the near future?

At some point you'd think Nebraska will develop an identity, but it clearly did not show any of the identity that I thought they were building this year against Minnesota. Minnesota exposed our Achilles Heel and that is pressuring Raiola and we can't do anything. Other teams know we aren't going to adjust and so goes the rest of the season.

Grow a damn pair and play our game. The Maryland game as bad as those three it's were at least we had some balls. Against teams like Minnesota, Iowa, and Northwestern you can't dink and dunk and expect to win. You are playing into their ****** football style, and it is and will always be a recipe for disaster. We have weapons and they don't use them for ****'s sake.

I do not care if we see a change of pace at QB either. If we get sacked more that 3 times in the 1st half against Northwestern pull Raiola and see if the same happens to Lateef. At the very worst we'll know if the problem is Raiola or Donovan Raiola's oline. Dominic Raiola can't be too happy with his brother right now... right?

Totally understand. I stopped watching regularly last year. Just found better things to do on Saturdays.
Still hang around on here a bit.

Absolutely we need to unleash our weapons, unleash Emmit Johnson, Jacory Barney, lindenmeier is a solid pass catcher…..run some dang plays that attack with those guys not just poke and prod and see what the defense gives us.
I would think the answer to Lateef the coaches already know from practice but they aren’t going to say one way or another. This is same situation as Frost and Adrain Martinez, Raiola will be in the game no matter what.

So tired of Nebraska football being lousy. Today is my 67th birthday. So I lived through and loved the Devaney-Osborne glory years.

I am not going to follow this team anymore. I will come back when NU gets a coach who can win. It is possible. Georgia Tech did it. Indiana did it. South Florida did it. Texas Tech did it. Yes, it will take a lot of NIL money. And a good coach.

Wake me when that happens. Rhule is not that guy. And this isn’t just post losing depression talking. This is 24 years of futility finally kicking in.

I am done. Most will say “who cares and good riddance”.
I don’t care. I am really done. It has been nice chatting over the past decades with all of you. But I have better things to do with my time.
My friend, I'm not far behind you.

Last year I stopped watching and posting after the Indiana game. I refused to watch or post until we got bowl eligible. I only watched the 1st qtr of the I_wa game because I could feel we were going to choke dramatically which we did. I got back on the train and hoped for a good year three. I turned it off Friday after the third qtr. I may watch this weeks game but if they lose I am out.

And happy bday. I always appreciate your perspective and I’m glad you show your emotion. Our coach is a fraud and consistently loses to lesser programs
Hmmm…if they are truly “lesser programs” than you would think that Neb would at least accidently win some of those games. 🤔

Hard pill to swallow but me as well. Team is perenially avg at best. Then we get the hype train rolling and we believe they are better than average. Then they prove once again they are in fact Mich St, Minnesota, Northwestern, Iowa, and pretty much every other Mid BIG team.
Neb is not even a mid-level Big 10 team.

Just curious…what offensive “weapons” does Nebraska have that they aren’t utilizing?

I am 71 and also went through the glory years. I am writing this message from a motel in the Twin Cities where I went to the Gopher game with my daughter and son in-law who live here and are Gopher fans. It was not a pleasant experience.
Hope continues to spring eternal for me. I love the game and am already looking forward to the game next week no matter who coaches or plays. I am a Husker fan. GBR!
Great job loper! Keep up the good work.

Actually, they are not every other mid B1G team.....they are a step below that.

Here are the overall and conference records since the Big Red came rolling into the B1G with dreams of grandeur:

Good luck on catching Northwestern....you can do it if you really put your mind to it!!

I'm right there with ya....68 years old...season tickets for 15 years...watched a lot of great football...a lot more of truly horrible football lately both in person and on TV. This team has made me a grouchy old man. Nebraska does not have the karma-luck-destiny to pull out of this funk without someone really special as coach. I thought it may be Rhule ...but I am very doubtful of that now.

Yep. We suck. And, as always, thanks for stopping by!

Going on 30 consecutive years since we have won anything of substance.

If we are able to keep up this streak for 110 more consecutive years (winning nothing and playing for nothing) we can match Iowa's record of all time futility.

I doubt we're able to do it, though. That's a feat almost impossible to achieve even on purpose.
