So Trump tweeted: See you in Court

Libs laughed as the 9th and the 4th circuit stopped Trump's Executive Order. I suspect the Circuit Court judges laughed as well and patted themselves on the back. Now SCOTUS has ruled 9-0 that the ban can take affect with a few minor exceptions. They will hear the full case in the Fall.

I wonder if those Circuit Court judges are doing any reflection at all? This was not a hard call and these judges placed their own hatred of Trump and their own ideology over the Constitution and Congressional legislation.

This ruling was so egregious, I wish Congress would look at some impeachment action at least for the original judges in this case. It is rare to rebuke a Circuit Court 9-0.

actually it's very possible for one of those 9th circuit idiots to get impeached...

How to impeach a federal judge:

https://ballotpedia.org/Impeachment_of_federal_judges

"The United States Senate has removed judges from office for substantial questionable conduct, even if no crime was committed. For example, Judge Robert Wodrow Archbald was impeached and removed from office for improper business relationships with litigants. One reason for this may be the life tenure bestowed upon federal judges and the Congress' place in upholding the good behavior of judges."

1986
Harry Claiborne of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
Nominated: By President Jimmy Carter in 1978.
Charges: Income tax evasion and remaining on the bench following a criminal conviction
Convicted: By the Senate and removed from office on October 9, 1986.

1988
Alcee Hastings of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Nominated: By President Jimmy Carter in 1979.
Charges: Perjury and conspiring to solicit a bribe
Convicted: By the Senate and removed from office on October 20, 1989.

1989
Walter Nixon of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
Nominated: By President Lyndon Johnson in 1968.
Charges: Perjury before a federal grand jury
Convicted: By the Senate and removed from office on November 3, 1989.

2009
Samuel Kent of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Nominated: By President George H.W. Bush in 1990.
Charges: Sexual assault, obstructing and impeding an official proceeding, and making false and misleading statements.
Resigned: From office on July 30, 2009, and articles of impeachment were dismissed.

2010
Thomas Porteous of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Nominated: By President Bill Clinton in 1994.
Charges: Accepting bribes and making false statements under penalty of perjury
Convicted: By the Senate and removed from office on December 8, 2010.

lol even a blind pig finds part of an acorn every now and then. Most people wanting to get in from the travel ban countries will still be able to as long as they have a job, are a student or know someone here.

It's the spin this morning. SCOTUS ruled in a way that everyone is going to get in anyways.
That is mostly true. It is very typical and sad that the administration and Trumpettes declare a victory with this ruling as that is dishonest. I appreciate the ruling as it is a good temporary compromise but boom' s point yesterday is valid without any answers. Trump' s ban was meant for 90 days and that has been expired. Why is the president not resolving the issue in a more permanent measure? Answer: this is nothing more than a political ploy to appease the alt right and has very little to do with security of the country.

These are 3 very small exceptions and I suspect in October those exceptions will be out as well. But it is likely the case is never heard since Trump will take action before SCOTUS reconvenes.

Still, libs on the board thought the 4th and 9th Circuit rulings would be upheld. They were defeated 9-0 at SCOTUS.

Did you think the 4th and 9th rulings would be upheld?

Frankly, I don't want anyone for those 6 countries (that Obama identified). We simply can't vet them. They have no functioning government against which we can rely for vetting. No accurate data bases we can trust. They all support and foment terrorism. How can we be sure who the immigrant is? Obama put them on that list for a reason.

Moreover, did you think the 4th and 9th rulings would be upheld by SCOTUS?

"Very small exceptions" lol got it. "Libs on the board thought" mind reading again? better keep working on that as you're still really bad at it. I saw where 9-0 was to hear the case this fall, 6-3 as to the matters of the case that they ruled on yesterday. I don't pretend to know what federal or supreme courts will do unlike some others on here.

Trump won, libs lost. And yes, the SCOTUS exceptions are very minor relative to the number of people impacted.

A question for you. Did you think the 4th and 9th circuit rulings would be upheld?

3 Justices wanted to uphold the entire ban immediately. We will see in the Fall, but I suspect the majority will agree with them if this case is heard again.

Yep, that's your spin on things and I disagree with most of it. I'll copy and paste since you can't seem to read the following: I don't pretend to know what federal or supreme courts will do unlike some others on here.

So, you did not take a position on the legality of the 4th and 9th circuit rulings? You did not make one post on this subject?

So you made no comments on the 4th and 9th circuit rulings and their constitutionality? On what SCOTUS would do? If that is true, and I guess I can go back through your posts, you are perhaps the only lib to make no comment. Whereas many conservatives went on record saying SCOTUS would overturn those circuits.

Do you ask everyone that you speak to to repeat what they've said several times or do you just do it on this board?

The nice part about a message board is that you can go back through history to check out posts.
