So what are Furrey and Elliott working on?

They've got almost 2 weeks until A&M. Will we see new plays, new formations or just different plays called? I just hope and pray we see an offense that looks prepared instead of that bumbling, stumbling mess we saw Saturday.

Honestly, and I mean this sincerely, with how this season has gone, I think their gameplan needs to be telling Sellers "just go do what you want out there".

For some weird reason, I feel like Furrey can add a little bit of new flavor to our putrid O. Having read that he had decent offenses at Limestone, and wearing the curse of being a Gamecock fan, I have hope where there should realistically be none. :p

I'm just wondering what the final score would have looked like last Satuday if Shula hadn't kept telling LaNorris to miss the open receivers. You think he would have learned it wasn't working after the second try.

Wonder if the new crew will have the same passing game philosophy?

I don't think most of yall understand the value of simple and quick plays. Slant, quick out, WR screen, WR bubble play(doesn't work for us but does for Clem),roll out to RB. Simple plays like that will cause the DC to hesitate bringing pressure and it also alleviates the terrible blocking by 50.

We don't need more creative plays. I'm sure we have the plays to use. They need to be used appropriately.

I promise this is what Loggains did last season. Helped him land a new job.
Yeah. I mean, sure, you gotta call a play but I'd let Sellers know he has the ultimate freedom to just do what feels right.

It CAN'T be worse than what we've seen so far and it might actually be better.

I watched some video of the Packers' QB Love. He was constantly on the move, rolling out, shifting, throwing on the run, etc. That mitigated a lot of the opposing pass rush & opened up the Pack's offense.

Sellers needs a really good QB/OC to help him work on his decision making. He learned how to play in high school relying almost completely on his athleticism. He can't do that in the SEC so he needs to evolve - if he can.

If nothing else get Sellers to get the ball out faster. Totally agree we need to run more short routes. More misdirection in the run game could help as well. Actually, we have run the ball ok in some games, but then get -50 yards in sacks. Calling some more plays with quick reads sounds like a good place to start.

I would be ok putting Furrey in the permanent OC role if the offense scores 40 ppg and puts up 500+ ypg. All 3 games.

If our offense does not accomplish that against Coastal Carolina which has the 109th ranked defense in the nation, to me, that will be a sign that he should not even be a position coach here, much less OC.

He should just tell the truth. "Well Furrey is the most qualified fella left. We can't just go out and buy an OC and install their offensive plays and philosophy in a week. So we went with Furrey."
Then maybe make sure everyone knows how to pronounce his name because I don't know.

They don't wear costumes. They just wander around school meowing and laying on the floor.
