I can see why Sprint would try this since they are on the verge of extinction to a large degree. Other than the money, it's a risk by Apple to tick off AT&T and Verizon. Open the door for Google to come and and really try to convince them to push the Android phones in their stores, especially the 4G ones.

Thus Apple might actually lose market share in that deal as I don't know how many people would or could jump to Sprint just got get a iPhone 5

if nothing else because Sprint couldn't secure the $20 billion in funding. We saw when the iPhone went to Verizon that there wasn't the mass exodus people were expecting. That's because it's not super easy to switch providers. Plus, most people are lazy and a cell phone isn't the most important thing they have to worry with so the natural inclination is to stay with your current provider. No way Sprint makes a bad bet of their entire company in order to get an exclusive that only lasts a few months. They aren't that stupid.

and you may as well have a tin can w/ a string attached or otherwise be roaming. I don't have it and don't know anybody that does but it looks bad on the coverage map @ their site. Of course some people will just **** their britches to have the phone itself............

We had a pilot program at work where the company was considering providing company cellphones to the sales team. They chose Sprint as the company provider and I received a phone to use for 2 months and report back on the coverage, data network..........

I literally had better coverage with an old CB radio in the 80's. If you got more than 2.5 miles off of I55 or I20, you had no service.

How the hell that company is still in existence is crazy to me.

I bet there are more wifi hotspots in MS than sprint cell phone towers.

and have never had a problem with service. When all my ATT buddies can't get through on gamedays, I have 5 bars and can do whatever I want. I bought the Evo the day it came out and can't imagine a phone on the market being better than it. I'm all over North Mississippi and Eastern Tennessee all the time and never have a problem with a signal.

But, I am at Sardis all the time and never have a problem. I live in the country in Lafayette County and have service all the time. My inlaws live in Verona and when my daughter visits, who has ATT doesn't have service, I always do. Sprint pimps off everyone else's towers and as long as you have unlimited, you don't get charged for it. I have three smart phones on my plan with unlimited everything and my bill is $190 a month.

I will say, that I have recently been researching changing phones and/or plans. I use At&t.
In doing so, I have keyed in several zip codes( that I was interested in) with various companies, using their sites.
Sprint has not done well for me in that exercise.
Again thanks for the info.

I'm at home right now and according to the site I shouldn't have a signal, but I have one.The only time I ever roam is when I'm in the stretch on Hwy 6 between Oxford and Pontotoc.
