Losing Rose-Ivey could hurt a lot. Gifford has promise, but starting two freshmen at LB against a team like BYU isn't good.

Rose was, I believe, slated to be the corner in our nickel package with Kalu moving to Nickel. Now Mosley has to play instead, and though I like Mosley this isn't a good matchup for him. He'll have some problems covering their big 6'6" receivers.

Really glad Trey Foster recovered fairly quickly, or losing Cethan Carter for the game would have hurt even more.

If the Keels and Painter suspensions are even noticeable then it wasn't a close game.

Dang. On the bright side, gals it's only 1 game. It could be costly, but I still think we can pull this one out.

well, tbh, Bo wouldn't have suspended Rose-Ivey...
Still would have been short a LB with experience in his freshman unfriendly system. Newby was just an undersized DE last year so not sure you could have counted on him.

Roster management, another area where this team has a chance to improve immensely

Okay, byu, those are the players we are suspending. Yours???
The magic underwear make them impervious to NCAA rules. That may change if any players have a cup of coffee when they wake up Saturday. Then they will be drummed out of there!!!

Oddly, the BYU head coach is not scheduled to talk to the media again until after the game is over, so he just won't have the opportunity to discuss who is suspended.

Oh heck, what a shame.

He was interviewed on Sports Nightly tonight.
