I understand where people are coming from, particularly if we change systems again and the recruiting class falls apart.

On the other hand, if the next coach can coach ‘em up, we have enough talent to be decent.

Well you kind of hit on my point. Being afraid of the coaching change. I was 3 years ago. I wasn't happy with our "rut" but figured having sustainment was important. Remarkable how our outlook can change.
