Since the heel of the sock always wears out first, why can't they just make the heel of the sock thicker and then the whole sock will last longer?
Buy those hippie bombas socks. They won’t wear out. Or, keep buying cheap ****.
Buy cheap and *****. Also, you can find them for $8-10 a pair. Just have to look.I never heard of those so I just looked it. It costs $68 for a pack of four. LOL.

The ones I have have their name on the bottom of the sock. That makes them a stays item? lol. Good grief.I'm looking for the sweet spot where they are both (a) high quality and therefore cost more (b) not a status item since those things cost extra purely because of the status aspect. One way you can tell Bombas is a status item is that they have the name "Bombas" in big letters on the socks. Another one along that line that I've run across before is Darn Tough at the link below.

They cost about the same as Bombas but they too have their name on them. And in addition to the name on them, they come in all kinds of fancy designs and colors.
How about just a high quality monocolor sock with no words on it? That's what I'm looking for.
Is your latest couple of threads a ploy to get us wanting to discuss synthetic meat instead?
Well since you brought it up, Impossible Foods (the company that makes the Impossible Burger among other things) was just named Company of the Year for 2019 by Inc. magazine.

Here is a quote from the article by Pat Brown, the founder and CEO of Impossible Foods, as well as a member of the National Academy of Sciences (the USAs Hall of Fame for living scientists) and the inventor of the DNA microarray, which a thing that some science-y type people might have heard of. This is from about a year ago when Impossible Burger 2.0 (which is the current one) was released. The last sentence s key.
"The Impossible Burger 2.0 is demonstrably better in flavor, in texture, in juiciness" than the 1.0, Brown told the throng of 350 as more folks pushed their way inside. "And unlike the cow, we are going to be getting better every single day from now until forever."
But I'm still waiting for Memphis Meats to release something. Unlike Impossible Foods or Beyond Meat, they're actually using animal cells to grow meat, which is a more difficult task.
Anyway, I like tech making things better and that's happening in food, and not just with meat. Like the Beatles said, it's getting better all the time.

if they keep on killing those poor plants to make burgers we will all die of carbon monoxide poisoning ...what do you think the plants are here for anyway?Well since you brought it up, Impossible Foods (the company that makes the Impossible Burger among other things) was just named Company of the Year for 2019 by Inc. magazine.

I'm having trouble breathing already.......CLOSE DOWN BURGER KING:frown:There are so many buzzwords that set people off in one direction or the other. "Plant" is one of them and it sets people off in a positive direction, thus they stress calling it "plant-based burgers." But a plant is like meat or anything else in the sense that it's just stuff. Calling it "plant-based" just panders to peoples need to categorize things.
That is especially apparent with the stuff that Memphis Meats is making. They start with animal cells and they grow it by adding nutrients. So what is it at the end? It's not a plant. Although it started as animal cells, it's not an animal. So what is it?
But should it really matter? What should matter is, what happens to your body if you eat it, does it taste good, is it affordable, etc.
I never heard of those so I just looked it. It costs $68 for a pack of four. LOL.

dinosaurs ate plants...and they ain't here anymore...nuff saidIsn't it amusing how Leftists get their panties all wedged into their water tight narrow asses over humans eating meat but the animals they love to "protect" eat the raw flesh of other animals and would eat Leftists too if they got hungry enough! :scream:
Wonder why animals pay no attention to "meatless" diets?
