For those not watching, KV got behind 7-0 on a feet to back counter. The guy had a decent chest wrap defense and KV couldn’t figure it out enough to come back.

KV was actually up 3-1 and in deep again when I first got to the match, then gave up the big points to fall way behind. Got in on the legs twice after, but like most of our team can't finish when he got there.
Ludington with a great first impression. Had that cradle in ten seconds, missed the pin, cradled again and pin in thirty seconds.
Did people actually think that Torres was going to be an All-American candidate?

Posters here convince them of a lot of things. The 69th ranked recruit in the country being a big factor on the national scene early in his career is just par for the course.

I meant the 26-27 or 28 recruits. Hawks are going to need a 165 pretty quick. Cali leaving is a big hole there starting next year.
Yeah doubt garvin is coming. Joey blaze would be ideal but would of figured he would of left Purdue by now. Outside of that the next highest guys are Arujao-Nebraska, Denny-nc state, and Downey-uni which I don’t see any of them leaving. Scoles could possibly leave with the Illinois situation but he’s an askren kid so he’s not coming. Not too many guys who seem to make sense but a lot can change. Maybe a Nico Ruiz or see if Daniel Cardenas is interested but he’d have his pick at 57/65.

just my opinion but let’s not write off a kid based on his first college tournament.
Not writing him off for his career and he still has a redshirt available next year. I am writing him off though for starting next year however. He got majored by a kid from tarelton state we need to find an option for next year. Interesting to see Anthony Ferrari is wrestling up at 165 at the scuffle. He’s a better wrestler than anyone on the current roster for 65 next year.
Hopefully we can now stop hearing about him being in the lineup going forward.

I don't think anyone is writing him off from todays results. We wrote him off based on prior knowledge that he won't help us finish on top of the podium. That's harsh, but it's reality.
The score was 3-0 when he pinned the guy 30 seconds into the match. I wouldn't call that winning 3-0. You are correct. He is way better than anybody waiting in the wings, but there are probably safer options out there.
I stand corrected did not see the Fall at the top. I know he is good but still want to see a few more matches before bringing him for next season as the answer for our 165 spot.
It was a fall so kudos to Anthony, but want to see a few more matches before considering him as a possible transfer for next season. Obviously wanted to see better results from Torres, Robles and Bowling!

Nasir Bailey wins 3-1. Scored in the first 10 seconds and that was all the offense by either person. Mic did pick up some funny commentary between Ramos and Brands.
Ramos and Brands just got into it. In each others face then Ramos really didn’t like what Brands said when he walked away and Ramos ran after Brands in the tunnel.
