They actually thought they were a playoff team and that Jeremy Johnson was going to win the Heisman. They are curiously quiet this morning.

I know the opening loss sucks but Jackson gives your offense a very dynamic element that will be hard for opponents to defend. Good luck the rest of the way.

In other words, because we were able to hang with them they must not be that good.

Good Lord, it's just the 1st game of a long season. Remember that Ohio St team that lost at home to a mediocre Va Tech team on their way to beating Alabama and Oregon for the National Championship last year?

Auburn should be just fine.

Thanks for well wishes

Thanks, I'll take that dynamic offense.

But I can't understand why they didn't just pound us when they had a chance. This had blow out written all over it.
Compared to us, they have serious problems. Hope they run the tables for SOS. We can take this 7 point loss and learn from it.

Auburn is NOT a tOSU Championship Quality Team...They're a 3-4 Loss Team...Alabama, Arkansas and LSU...At least!!!

You may be right but Ohio St. Dropped 3 spots in the polls last year after an uninspiring performance in week one against Navy and then followed that up with a 14 point loss in Columbus to Va Tech in week 2.

I do think there are better teams out there right now than Auburn but it's early and they are very talented and well coached.

They couldn't get any big plays offensively. They had a couple nice methodical drives.

But, I believe the tried to force feed stats on their QB and he's just not as good as advertised - either that, or.... our secondary did a very good job. The truth is probably somewhere in between. One of our corners was burnt a few times but in other instances coverage was good.

If they would have taken what they were getting -the positive runs, and stayed at that, they might have gotten out of there with an easier win. But they didn't. Maybe a bit of ego there to try to pad the QB stats and get flashy.

Our secondary did a great job and the pass rush did too which is why Johnson was pressured into making some bad decisions. They had a couple of break downs which cost them but overall I would give the secondary a B. I'm a bit surprised UA didn't just keep the ball on the ground and run it up the middle. They were having a ton of success doing that.

Auburn has outstanding talent in the trenches and I think that part was pretty obvious. They have the building blocks to contend for the West.I,like the op was surprised at the way they ran between the tackles, but they'll also have to get a lot from some youngsters at the skill positions to contend.

Must be a Bammer fan. You sound like the UK fan who went to the Auburn Boards and thanked them for beating up little brother.
Don't care for fans like that. See you opening game in 2019. I bet Auburn fans wont come over here and thank us for beating you all.
Beat IT!!!
