Its hard to wish ill on Josh Dix - especially if health issues for mom are true - but Owen Freeman can GFH.

Freeman and Dix obviously didn't do much in this game. Wish Dix was still at Iowa, he'll be good. Iowa could use someone Freeman's size, just as long as it wasn't him.

my biggest takeaway from watching a couple of Creighton games with ex-Iowa players is that Fran’s system got more out of less and put players in the best positions to succeed. Would have really liked to have see what he could do with a team full of shooters/athletes, but we will never know
He'd still lose. Iowa scored 94 points in their final game last year and Illinois scored 107, in regulation. Too lazy to research but I'd be willing to bet that if a college team (not coached by Fran) scored over 90 points in regulation, they win over 90 % of the time.
Koch said this years practices are completely different and opposite from last year's due to one thing, the focus on defense. Fran needed an assistant coach to solely concentrate on team defense and rebounding but Fran was too stubborn to see that.
