Purdue's 7'4" Edey replacement (13-pts/ 7-rebs/ 3-blks, 1st game) broke his leg in first minute of their second game against NKU and is out for year!!
That sucks. Poor kid, sounds like He was further along than Edey was early.

last time he played Texas A&M he played 3 minutes and had 1 block in a 10 point SEC quarterfinal loss. Won't be too hard to top that.
That’s good to hear he’s playing better. He sucked starting the year I’ll be interested to see how he plays against a real team.

Oof. I hate to hear that. You never like to see that kind of thing happen to a player.

Usually very tough at hime but curious to see how they do without the big man now.
They have another 7 footer who is decent. But I think they beat Bama. Purdue is exceptionally tough at home and I don’t think Bama will offer much resistance defensively.

I hate peacock having sports
It’s getting absurd. Won’t be long before as many streaming services as possible try to get contracts for the bare minimum to keep people interested. I made the claim that eventually, Disney will start streaming games that are Hulu Live only, despite already owning ABC and ESPN. I was wrong. Instead, they made the recent Monday NFL double header an ESPN+ only event (so they pushed people to their streaming subscription service, just not the one I was expecting). It’s fvcking egregious

Yeah it will be another year where Purdue gets hyped up only to fall short again.

Cut the cable to pick up 80 streaming packages......and now we're back to.....having to buy packages to see what we want....just...like....cable.

Two things would fix a lot of crap:
1. Let people buy vehicles directly from the manufacturer
2. Let people build their own channel packages

In my mind it’s hard not to forget their top prospect that just left in June too to go to BYU. They have their 3 big junior players and a few role players but the loss of these two freshmen(by injury and decommit) really hurt their overall talent level and depth.

You sly fox you!
If your gonna go crazy, bring others with you, right?

It is interesting though. I had gotten to where I really didn’t like basketball anymore, after a lifetime of loving it.

Watching this team feels like 90s ball again. Really like this style of play as it is really what I always saw basketball as being!

Doesn’t help that the football team is so bad I can’t give my season tickets away, LOL. But will be there drunk at every game.

for MBB, Pope was 100% the right hire!!!

They actually have a couple of guys who can really score (outside the juniors) in Colvin and Cox. Harris is also a Lance Jones type. Painter won the a big 10 and made the elite 8 without Edey. They will be fine.

Interested for the Ohio St and A&M game. We'll play Ohio St soon and Bradshaw is easy to root for since he didn't follow Cal.
I like for all our former players to do well. Bradshaw, while limited offensively, was a likeable dude. When he gave that kid with cerebral palsy his global jam jersey and signed it for him when the team was signing autographs for the Eastern Kentucky flood victims he became a favorite of mine. Sure he wasn't what we thought he would be as a player, but things like that leaves a big impression on me. It made that kids day. I hope he goes off tonight.

They made the FF and title game last year. And they were preseason number 16 this year. Not exactly overhyped. Seems reasonable.
Nah, I've seen their story too many times. Yeah, made the FF last year after beating ONE good team. UT. And they barely won that game. They then got demolished by UConn.

I just don’t put into their hype.

Texas A&M plays a rough style of basketball, that doesn’t play well for Bradshaw. Buzz has them play body-up your man defense. I would love for Bradshaw to play well, I will be pulling for him.

Good defensive game. Alabama is ice cold from 3 but their size is making life hard for Purdue.

Weird sequence there. Purdue player tackles the Alabama player via a head lock. Double foul called for no reason. They go and review it and the call doesn’t change somehow. Guessing if they didn’t want to move it to a flagrant they can’t do anything?

Cox for Purdue on a heater. His personal run has pulled Purdue ahead by 7 with a little over 8 minutes left.

My son's dorm is about 500 yards from Mackey Arena, but he is not much of a college basketball fan, so he is not at this game. I so would have been there at his age, but that's why he is a better student than I ever was. Great atmosphere they have there. I told him he has to take me to a game there before he graduates.
