My son's dorm is about 500 yards from Mackey Arena, but he is not much of a college basketball fan, so he is not at this game. I so would have been there at his age, but that's why he is a better student than I ever was. Great atmosphere they have there. I told him he has to take me to a game there before he graduates.

I'm not a big live sports guy unless it's my team. Then, a big game, I'm going if I can. The rest? Too expensive, too many people, too much traffic. TV and bed are within 50 feet of one another. Too hard to pass up. lol

Unless Bama is playing UNC, UConn, dUKe, or KU, I say, "Let them go down in flames!" Maybe IU and UCLA as well, but both those programs are not worth my concern.

Purdue actually has more offensive talent than folks realize. Colvin and Cox are young but dynamic scorers. Their roster is probably just as good top to bottom as anyone else. Probably 20 teams have some decent depth. No real juggernaut at least as I see it now.

I’ve been to a lot of Mackey games when my friends went to college there. I’d visit them all the time and go to Football and Basketbsll games. The best times ever. Fantastic place to watch a game. It was when Painter first got there.

I wouldn’t say it’s a bad loss. Wisconsin inevitably is way better than everyone predicts year after year no. After who they lost. Losing Hepburn and Storr definitely hurt.

I cannot imagine the AZ/Wisc game was entertaining to watch…either in person or on TV.
