Unless they take the pandemic exception, Iowa and Wisconsin are finally going to lose some of those 35 year old men playing on their team next season. Illinois will probably lose Dosunmu and Cockburn. Minny may lose Carr. But we will probably return everybody from this team. While I'm not giving up on this season, next year is looking like a potentially exciting season - especially if last night's version of Pete Nance shows up!

I agree - but encourage you to enjoy THIS year thoroughly too - there is a real breakthrough in the quality of our play, even if the conference is so terrific that our final W-L record doesn’t fully reflect that.

I'm paying attention this year.... just not posting as much during the games. I know this will disappoint my fans.

I mean, a loss to one of the top tier teams will happen. We are still very much in the running for a Big Ten Championship THIS year.

1. I would just assume that Jordan Bohannon will always haunt us until further notice.
2. If Nance plays like last night consistently, he might get enough hype to leave early. How many good games did Greg Newsome need?

Um. I think you need to focus on this season. Embrace our team and stop looking at other teams. If we take care of business then it won't matter who plays for the other teams. K?

As far as last night, knock off the gloom and doom. We played great but Io@a actually played incredible and deserved to win. We kept clawing back until the end. Give Io#a credit. Next time we can win.

What I have been saying since the bewginning. We have a real gauntlet to go through. We are substantially better than last year but our schedule may rank as the hardest of any team in US

The Cats played pretty good defense but Bohannon bailed them out with an unbelievable 3 point night

Garza has earned a lot of respect but the refs certainly give him freedom down low . He uses an arm hook on a lot of his spins. A lesser player would not get away with it

I would love someone use the “Oakley Defense” on Garza as long as he doesn’t’ get hurt and takes it good humor

Ryan Young once again had a very solid game last night. He made 4 of his 6 shots from the field, including a turn around jumper, as well as both of his free throws. In addition, he defended very well down low, snagged 3 offensive and 1 defensive rebound, and fought like hell for the ball while only committing 1 personal foul, all in limited minutes.

Excellent points. Recently our own fans were questioning Mr. Young's physical abilities, including whether he could dunk or score with his left hand. Let's put that nonsense to rest once and for all. Dunk? check, vs IU. Left hand? check, twice against Iowa.

My Dad texted me today and said “I can’t wait to watch this team next year”. Hey, old man, we’re only about 25% through THIS season. How about you enjoy this one first?

Exactly, the comments made about Young have been ridiculous. Easily one of the top players on this team. What you see is what you get.

I don’t know what you call Young’s game or if you attribute it to skill or athletic ability. The results are rock solid. The best comparison I can come up with is Shon Morris but with a better supporting cast.

Garza also got away with a least one obvious travel the second half, and they probably could have called another on him. He definitely gets the Player of the Year candidate benefit of the doubt on some calls.

Next year will they be saying the same thing about Anthony Gaines?
