I'll agree as running quarter back. Not there as a passer yet. Stats wise similar to other games in yards but the worst in 3rd/4th down conversion. Got to stay on the field.
What was the mistake? The Michigan DB made a great play.
It was man coverage and he went to blocking mode which tipped the play for the DB and made it a zone play for the DB.
He was supposed to pick the other cb, that was the play.
Yes, but he showed block early instead of runnng his run rout which tipped the play. I’ll watch it again later to confirm. Maybe that was taught but allowed the DB to zone up and jump the pass.
Yeah the DB said in the interview that he saw it happening. He made a hell of a play.
If the pass was behind the LOS, he may be taught to block. In that case, it’s not his fault. But if it was a rub, he needs to sell the rout better.
Totally agree but my fear is we don't work on the passing game. We already know we can run them into the ground if we want to. We need work on throwing it. I really hope they use the opportunity and don't just run the ball the entire game.
He was pushed from behind early. You can actually see that by watching the B1G final drive on TV today. They never showed that angle yesterday.
100% correct and he never looked flustered and kept his eyes downfield trusting his OL, stepping up in the pocket waiting for plays to develop. That score doesn't even come close to how much better Rutgers looks and I truly believe this is a 7 win team.
Can you clarify your original costly mistake comment, which you retracted? The ball was thrown to Jackson. Dremel was behind the play.
I couldn’t tell if it was a rub rout or a screen. After rewatching the breakdown it was clear that it was a screen and Dremel’s assignment was to block Jackson’s defender. If it was a rub, he has to sell the rout and make his defender cover him.
