I watched both Murray and Maker play at Hoopfest in December, and Murray was the best player on that team in that tournament. Murray can hoop, and was more impressed with him than Maker. Even met Murray along with Maker, both are great kids who are also humble. Murray is no slouch and would be a very good get, mark my words. Go CATS!!!

I have seen him play in person and he was one of the top players that I posted about after attending the hoopfest. He is an outstanding player has a ton of upside and will be a future pro. He is just scratching his potential, can be a big time scorer but also knows when to distribute the ball.
Would love to have him, glad we are looking at him finally.
Before you know it you look up and he would have over 30 for the game. Not as good as Newman is right now and I don't know if he can be as good as a pro but he will be close.
Not sure on his ranking but i have watched a ton of guys this year and is out him around 15 or so in this class even higher if he stays in the '16 class.

Yeah Murray is a good player. I had never heard of him until I saw him at the MC Hoopfest. I was thinking who the hell is this then I looked him up and saw that he was a top 40 player in 2016. I was also more impressed with him than Thon Maker. Maker is a freak and wows you because he plays like a skinny 6'3 guard but he's legit 7'0-7'1. Bad thing is I don't know how well Makers game translates to the college level because he's not going to be able to play out on the perimeter in college like in high school. I actually like Maker's younger brother Matur Maker better because he's 6'11, plays like Thon, but is a little more smooth IMO and that could possibly translate to unstoppable in college under the right coach.

As for Murray, I thought he was the second best player on the court behind Malik Newman and ahead of both Makers. Murray played PG and played it very well. He's more on the thinner side but he's got great size/height for a PG. He should definintely end up a 5 star.

I got to see them play at both Hoopfest and Mustang Madness in Paducah. I was very impressed with Jamal at both showcases, and am really glad to hear that we are showing some interest. He seems to be a high quality kid also, and I will say that he,as well as everyone on Orangeville Prep's team were super-impressed with the support that basketball fans in Kentucky offered, and their passion for the sport.

Orangeville will be back in the Marshall/McCracken counties on March 23-25

Saw him play in last years Nike Summit and looked good, went back and looked up his AAU EYBL stats and he shot the ball well all around. Could be a good pickup if Newman dosent happen.
