You cheer? All I've ever seen you post is bitching about everything. I wonder why...
Oh no, the moment Dawson was fired was a very dandy moment for me. Really happy about his departure can't lie, was very excited about the football program at that moment. Definitely wasn't bitching about anything when that happened. It has given me somewhat some hope.

Where did our offense and defense rank this year? And tell me how does that ranking prove good coaching? Schools make horrible coaching hires all the time.

We get it. You hate UK's staff and think it sucks. I'm not sure why you think you need to post it in almost every thread you comment on. This thread wasn't about how good or bad the coaching staff was, start your own thread about it.

Haven't we had those teams on our schedule every year Stoops has been here? If you use stats to prove how bad the team is, then you should use them to determine improvement as well shouldn't you?

Yes UK plays those teams every year, but they were a special kind of bad offensively this year, as was Florida. And UGA to a certain extent. Heck, UofL was pretty bad too. Come to think of it, how could anybody lose 7 games with a tie playing this schedule?

So now we've resorted to crowing about an assistant coach supposedly turning down another job. And everyone is so proud of themselves for the marginal recruiting successes of this staff. Hey coach, here's an idea. Why don't you try and hang your hat on something that really matters - like a signature win? Because three years without one is a long time.

There, there Peter...your bias is showing.

The D improved even though the Offense got worse which is a good sign.
I only hope the D will continue to improve next year when we lose most of our talent in the front seven. That could be a really good barometer for measuring how good this staff is at developing younger players.

Elam, Meant, Hatcher, Ware, Middleton, Firios, Jones, Love, Miggins, Bell, and Allen are going to have to step up a good deal next year and hopefully they will shine. There has been precious few high quality performances by that group up to this point and if they step up and push our defense forward that will be a testament to good coaching. If they don't that may be indicative of the dearth of talent we have recruited or coaching or both.

The D was looking fairly good before ML went down with his injury. It seems to me that after that we took a huge step backwards. Of course our anemic offense played a role in that too by putting more of a burden on the D

And you didn't even mention the one that is supposed to be the best of all of them in Laster, the Minnesota transfer.

Have you looked at Marrow's resume? He's Claude Bassett part deux. He's not going to be calling plays for anybody anytime soon.

It's obvious to everybody now that you are either a troll or know absolutely nothing about UK football. You could have chosen from dozens of coaches to try to make a point, but to use a guy like Bassett, that says it all.

So can I get my wish of having Buh coach OLB's as well as Special Teams? I highly doubt UK could keep Buh from a P5 coordinator job without increasing his role and/or pay.

What say you all?

Yeah, I posted somewhere above I think that Buh will almost certainly have an expanded role in '16...with an expanded pay check I'm sure.

JROW wrote a piece earlier in the year that Buh was the main guy already, although they all had a role.so maybe they give him the name, pay him more, but keep things the same.

Good. Didn't see the piece by JRow, but as long as Buh is THE guy and can get things much more organized, we have a fighting chance when Special Teams go out into the field. I'm cool with someone like Scott or Ansley coaching up the returners, but I want one dude in control of getting guys lined up and one guy only.

I did not realize how big of a hire Buh was until half the season was gone. I think he's a very underrated hire by Stoops and is up with Ansley and Marrow, IMO.

Now what say you all if Stoops gives Buh more responsibilities on defense instead of ST and gives ST to someone else? Would Stoops make Buh a Co-DC? When would we normally know about the staff and their roles? Does UK do a press release or a pamphlet during the Spring Game at earliest?

I think Buh was a very good hire. I think Stoops realizes the need for experienced coaches as well and is taking steps to have young recruiters that are good position coaches and experienced guys who can still recruit as well.
