Not one but two qbs transferring. Something is not right here.
I seem to recall that Dawson was fairly high on him and really talked him up. I believe he called him the most accurate passer of the bunch.
Wonder if he saw his chances of getting a chance leave with Dawson's exit?
In hindsight probably should have happened sooner. We will be fine except for all the haters and bashers instigating crap and making more out of it then there is.2 upper class QBs beat out by a RS frosh. Not sure we need much more info.
Why would they not stay. Rumor has it that we are getting a top notch OC whose team rushed for 77 yards on 32 carries (an amazing 2.4 YPC) and threw for 202 yards on 19-31 in a lopsided blowout. Can't wait for our exciting new offense next year.
Actually Barker would then be a RS soph. And there are plenty of 5th year transfers that are QBs. Not just the one who plays for Stoops. Also, what is Stoops going to do? If the guy doesn't want to be here then he is more of a problem than positive.Something is rotten and it is Stoops that has made decisions to sealed his fate. Unfortunately the UK fan is the big loser because we are stuck with Stoops for two more years. No coach let's his senior QB with experience transfer for a unproven redshirt freshman, who has not shown that he is an SEC QB that can win.

Our offensive numbers in every stat category that is kept went down in every category from the year before. The quarterback play failed this team. The OC was about as unimaginable as ever. All with the best young skilled offensive players we have had in a long time. What is going on is to be expected. Stoops is stepping up as the head man. He is working on changing the future of this program. More then what some other past coaches have tried to do.either something is rotten...
or CMS is going all in with DB, his guy, so PT and Reece are going to get theirs...
or a combination of the two...
I don't think there is any question something went south...we all saw it painfully unfold before our eyes...now 2 QBs, an OC, and a WR coach are all gone...
We can only hope all these changes are going to work out for the better...for all parties...
Not that the starting QB being out had anything to do with itWhy would they not stay. I think you are smelling the UL basketball team. Rumor has it that they have arrived in Lexington. Can't get that stink off them
Texas A&M lost two this year, it happens. Not one but two qbs transferring. Something is not right here.
Back in olden days it seemed like college coaches used to give backup QBs more work in case they were needed in important games and to hopefully avoid messes like Stoops is in now for QBs. Now starting QBs are not removed except in blowouts, which are a rarity for UK.
To the OP, what do you think is going on ? You seem to insinuate something but don't elaborate.
What do you think is 'rotten' ?
Smith, too many injuries, Whitlow should have never been a QB and he left because Stoops wanted him to play WR where he should have been, Phillips should have never been here to begin with IMO, and Towles had plenty of chances to be the man and he didn't take advantage. I don't think that is mismanagement.Just don't like how you had smith, whitlow, towles, and now Philips leaving. Coaching isn't what I expected it to be. Lack of qb development.

I think the "team" attempts are intentional spikes to stop the clock. IDK why they don't call it an attempt ... well, I do, but I don't necessarily agree with it.Interesting that Hartline, destined to be the starter in 08 only got 6 pass attempts in 07------while "team" had 4 attempts.
Of course, as many of his critics pointed out on here, he couldn't throw the ball ten yards anyway.
Curtis Pulley was due to be quarterback in 2007. (I think) and dismissed from the team for drug charges. Andrew Woodson was named starting QB. If I have the wrong year, please correct me.I think the "team" attempts are intentional spikes to stop the clock. Also, wasn't Pulley going to be the 08 starter until that summer? Or maybe it was the summer prior to that?
