Would be a punch in Cal' face if Pope could convince him to stay with UK.
I'd keep Cyril, Fland and Quantiance. Imagine if Richmond stayed too!
This has to impress these young guys to see Rupp filled and overflowing for a new coach.
I hope so but we all know it’s gonna come down to PT(which we have in spades) and NIL.
Not sure he's a good fit for Pope's offense tho he could be a good rebounder and rim protector
He could be what Traore was at BYU. Traore lived in a world where he was guarded 1 on 1 because everyone was too scared to help double him and leave a shooter open. Imagine someone trying to 1 on 1 guard him. It's not out of the realm of possibility.
Some of cals recruits may not be a perfect fit for popes style so I am fine if some don’t stay. I am not worrying about recruiting rankings just on court results.

Honestly, I liked Somto at OTE, but I can't see how he fits this style. He's a complete zero on offense. He makes Onyenso look like David Robinson.
If he has a low motor or struggles operating in sets, he won't be a good fit. If he's willing to move without the ball in his hand, set hard screens, he'll get his shot.
He is a high school player with size and talent. It is rare for any high school player to be a finished product. I would like to see him stick, but I don't believe any of the younger players are finished products.

I didn't mean it that way. If Pope wants him on the team that would be great but we all know Calipari would not like it much and I am ok with that.
Somto would be a taller, much more talented version of Fousseyni Traore for BYU last year who did not make 3's in their 5 out offense.
