Why do people feel the need to go to the drive thru lane instead of pulling into a stall to order a bunch of food at Sonic? The drive thru lane should be for drinks only. You're going to be sitting in your vehicle either way. When I see several bags of food handed out to the guy in front of me while I've been sitting for 10 minutes waiting on a limeade, I want to go punch him in the face.

Am I the only one?

I pay with my card before they bring my food out and it doesn't give you the option to tip. Am I gaming the system? Also when I just get a drink I always pull into a stall it is way faster then going through the drive through.

Their drinks are money but their food/burgers are inedible. I feel like the quality has gone down dramatically since I was younger.

Here is how I game the system. If I don’t have a work lunch I leave the office at 1:55, get my happy hour drink, unsweetened tea with lemon, and my 99 cents moz sticks for a whopping $2.18. If the food is fast I give em $3, slow, $2.50.

I find it strange that people will wait 10 minutes in a line with their car running, during happy hour, to save a dollar on a drink, and my wife is one of them. They'll even be out in the street stopping a lane waiting to get in.

I do this too. Not on purpose though it's pretty weak they don't allow for a tip on the card pay. I'd tip cash but I only carry hundreds.
