Sonos One vs Apple HomePod

Has anyone used both of these? The HomePod is supposed to have incredible sound but very limited features and the Sonos can do lots and lots but the sound quality is not on the same level. Curious if anyone has been able to compare the two and if the sound quality difference is worth the high price of the HomePod.

Thanks!

I can't help you with the apple homepod, but I can tell you sonos makes a great product. I have a playbar, sub, and two Sonos ones for a home theater and it is great.

Also have a few Sonos ones throughout the house and they sound great.

I'm assuming the apple products will sound awesome too.

It probably would come down to budget, what you want to use it for, etc.

Might look at the new Sonos Move it is a battery operated Sonos. Jus to throw a wrench in your gears.

After watching the video above I'm thinking the expense of the Homepod is not justified (in comparison to others). I've heard nothing but good things about the Sonos and that will probably be the way I go.

I like that you can link more than one Sonos where you can't with apple (unless that has been changed, the video is a year old)

I have a sonos and it's pretty good. I thought I could use it as a rear speaker for the tv but it won't do that unless you use apple tv. It uses alexa as well and you can use your iphone to dictate what you want it to do. It just won't hook up with the tv and it's a sony tv. I can tell alexa to turn the tv on and it will. I can add them throughout the house I guess but I haven't.
