Before last night when ever has Oklahoma ever wore Red pants?

I don't recall OU ever wearing Red pants and I'm old enough to remember way back in the Wilkinson /Devaney era.

Looked good infact, kind do looked like Nebraska out there with the white helmet and red strip.

Good Luck winning the Big 12.

Every time they wear the ugly *** "Bring the Wood" alternate road uniforms. I believe this is the third season for them. One road game and one home game each of the last three seasons, the alternates have been used. Red pants are only on the road uniforms...

In my very biased opinion, OU's traditional road uniforms are one of college football's best--all white with the red helmet. I guess we have to wear the alternate uniforms as some sort of concession to Nike in exchange for rolling in the big bucks from them. No big deal either way, I guess, but I still prefer the traditional look.

I dislike the alternate uniforms....but if and when OU gains another national championship, the team can dress in drag as far as I'm concerned.

I'm very biased too, and believe our traditional road uniforms are the best in the country which OU tried to copy last night... I quess to each his own when it comes to rich traditions...

No one has still answer the question, was that the first time or have they wore red pants before recently...
I follow the Sooners but not as closely as when we were in the Original Big (8) 12.

Three years ago. I answered that the first time you asked. The alternate jerseys are the "Bring the Wood" jerseys. If you don't like the answer, I don't know what else to tell you.

They were made with a "woodgrain" look that resembles the boards used by OU coaches to beat bugeaters with...

Why can't I ever remember OU wearing them before?

Do you remember who they played the last time and what year?

I don't think any of us old OU fans want to remember the last time we wore them. Even more we don't ever want to see them again, end of story!

"Fans will recall that the current generation of Sooners sported a Wilkinson-era throwback uniform for the 2003 North Texas game and again in 2009 against Texas Tech, wearing white helmets with a crimson stripe and a classic crimson jersey with white arm stripes reminiscent of OU’s look from the 1950s."
