#13 (I thought it was #11/#12) West Virginia at Oklahoma, a rare sub-.500 in Big 12 games this season. 2 pm, ESPNU. For Huggins Heroes a tuneup for the brutal double-dipping against Kansas and Baylor.

#3 Kansas at TCU, another 4-5 team after being the ONLY Big 12 team to lose to Kansas State this season, noon, ESPN2.

Texas Tech, better than its 5-4 Big 12 record I think, at Texas. 4 pm, ESPN2.

Oklahoma State enters the Waco whipping-arena of #1 Baylor. 6 pm, ESPN2.

Kansas State at Iowa State as both attempt to stay ahead of Oklahoma State in Big 12 standings. 8 pm, ESPN2.

Oklahoma and WVU are the only 2 teams to lose to KSU (2-7) in conference.

Kansas will put a beat down on TCU.

Oklahoma State fresh off a 1 game win streak. Hope they got a lot of enjoyment from that win. They have 5 straight losses coming up.

Mid way through recruiting the class looked like it was in trouble. Turned out to be really good class for a middle of the pack program that usually recruits 34-44 or worse sometimes. Now remember homer last year really was a very poor year. So I’m impressed with how Brown ended the year then finished off the class but time will tell.

IMO, until we can prove that we are a force on the road, we will not be seen as a true national threat by most around the country. Most people know we can play D, but until we prove that we can play O on the road, it is what it is. A top 20 team, but not a top 10 one.

IMO, until we can prove that we are a force on the road, we will not be seen as a true national threat by most around the country. Most people know we can play D, but until we prove that we can play O on the road, it is what it is. A top 20 team, but not a top 10 one.

Hell, the way top 10 and top 20 teams are being toppled by unranked teams this season (near 80 games by now, I think) it's tough to keep track of which teams ARE top 10 or top 20. It's a game by game week by week thing, so why should WVU be immune? I LOVE Huggins Heroes and their Pitbull Defense. It's a very young team, but a lot older today than it was before the season opener. By March Madness, who knows? Hell, even Vegas will give only 22-1 odds on WVU winning it all. Maybe the money has more faith in the Mountaineers than some WVU fans?

Oklahoma did better than WVU in field goal percentage, 3’s percentage, free throws percentage, rebounding, assists and, most important, points.

Pretty convincing case of the team that plays better wins the game.


WVU faces the prospect of a 2-game losing streak for the first time this season with Kansas next. And then Baylor, so 0-3 run is possible.

Oklahoma’s Doolittle, who has been averaging 7 points in recent games, scores 27.

WVU shoots only 8 free throws to 21 for Oklahoma.

Oscar and Haley are the ONLY Mountaineers in double figures.

Oklahoma, a middling team, made Huggins Heroes play the way they did against Oklahoma State the first time.
About 90 ranked teams have lost this year. We can all live with an L.

But this was abysmal.

Let's see what happens against Kansas and Baylor. Two major hurdles for a very, very young team that has NOT lost 2 games in a row this season … so far.

But I'l stick with a thumbs-up, for my alma mater's team, not the way they played today, rather than a middle finger.
