5 star true freshman Deon Cain WR, backup TE JJ McCullough, and place kicker Lakip have been sent home tonight for breaking team rules. Nothing specific, but Deon was really coming into his own and he surely will be missed. As a side note, Deon was suspended for a game earlier this year too, at Miami, go fuvking figure, I'm pissed at these players and how selfish they can be. Anyway, I'm still pumped, but very disappointed.

Wow, that's sad for you guys. Isn't your tightend one of your biggest threats? Is he the one that got suspended?

No the TE that's suspended is a non contributor. The kicker does kickoffs and extra points but not field goals. Cain is the biggest loss as our primary vertical threat with touchdowns in the last six games

Well, I understand that disappointment, been there.

However, as a Sooner fan I wish Shaq Lawson would hockey it up and get suspended. That guy is scary good. Gonna have to double up on him I'm afraid.
He could really hurt Baker. Literally.

I'm tempted to refrain from posting anything because OU has had their issues as well. But something tells me that this team has enough leadership this year to have a good business trip. Word is they are having some great practices and are pretty focused. Riley tweeted earlier that practice today was a blood bath.

Billings (Baylor) and Ogbah (OSU)?

I might venture to say Shaq is a step above - he was consensus AA across multiple publications. Could be wrong though. We've really been happy with the other bookend too - Kevin Dodd. They both do a pretty damn good job setting the edge, although Dodd has been hampered by plantar fascitiis a little bit. Guy waited his turn and finally made his impact.

Here's a laugher from earlier in the season - Shaq getting mugged by ND OL.

But yeah, back to OP. The loss of Cain will suck....

Sorry, on a wine binge. 1978 is one of my worst memories of OU football. We were favorites going in to game, then mush mouth (Lou Holtz), tosses 3 or 4 players, all significant players. We win, we win the national championship. 31-6 *** whipping for Arkansas. Wound up marrying a razorback...

That's the breaks...sometimes they work for you, sometimes they work against you. But hey, the Clemson coach no doubt proves his character with a move like this. No doubt many coaches would attempt to sweep it under the rug to maximize the chances to win. Good to see Swinney holds his team to a higher standard than that.

He looks average to me, not great, just average...

Sorry, it's kind of a Sooner board joke you wouldn't understand. No doubt the guy is great. We have one too. Mr. Eric Stricker.....

Our freshman tackles ate up the two DE's you named and I know the OSU guy is projected very high in the draft.

Don't be surprised to hear a guy named Devonte Bond having a great game. He's a backup, but IMO he was the defensive player of the game against Tennessee.

This year will be even mores. He's been free'd up so to speak. Think Bama Sugar Bowl. Although, I do think that Dabo will have the offense go right at him.

Huh no, you don't get the gist of my first sentence. We have an AA(Zack Sanchez) cornerback, 4 time defensive player of the week in the Big12(Missed 3 games due to injury) and some posters called him average, not great, just average. Most of us just got a big laugh at their ignorance.

We've been pleasantly surprised with the 'Co-OC' thing we've got going on. Tony Elliott stays in the booth and really does the bulk of play calling. Trimmed back some of the fluff Chad Morris had in place, and has definitely shown a knack for taking what a defense gives him.

I am super impressed with Lincoln Riley for you guys too. That was a home run hire.

Hopefully this group of suspensions will galvanize the team. Wasn't surprised by two of them - was by the other one (the freshman). He'll be missed - wasn't a starter but the light definitely came on for him about halfway through the season.

Fair enough. Didn't know the back story, but makes sense knowing now.

Good to see Naval traditions alive and well at toga parties.
My Dad was in the navy, but he didn't give us the recipe. :)

I saw Tony Casillas get his butt whupped at a Toga/Grog party in 1979. Pretty certain it was the first fight he ever actually had and likely the only one he ever lost. :)

THe one big difference about the Arkansas loss, was that Arkansas knew that for the whole bowl prep. And so did OUr guys, who took them kind of lightly. But it motivated Arkansas and we couldn't stop their outside veer handoff. Or inside veer handoff. Over and over. Roland Sales became a one day star.

Even worse, OU's loss gave Notre Dame the national title, bouncing all the way up from fifth.

Has anyone heard if we have anyone in trouble? I would think, both teams got there results back at the same time.
