This might be the worse UK basketball team I have ever seen. It's damn sure hard to watch.

Well start with Mitch, then adding Pope which if he didn't play at Kentucky he wouldn't be considered for the job! Just not working
It’s the worst I can remember and I go back to 1992 at 7 years old. Definitely the worst team I can remember. Add their numbers from the 5 games we’ve played against good competition. It’s staggering. And some of that is Pope, the guy can’t coach at this level.
I'm going from hopeful to just PISSED at this point.
Not as bad as the covid team, BCG's last team, or the 2013 team but it's bad for sure.

Fully healthy, I think this team is better than 2021 and 2023 at least, among recent teams.
Possible. But I definitely wouldn’t guarantee a win against them. Might be close but they could easily lose to both.
If you aren’t getting excited about this right now you have issues. I have simply been saying all year long let’s wait until the full team gets back. But you losers just complain about everything. What a joke!
Fully healthy they absolutely beat 21. I would say they beat 23 more often than not. Wouldn’t guarantee anything. I mean, I would guarantee that this team at least could beat every team since 2018.

Are you serious. We are 1-4 to every team with a pulse St. John’s is now unranked. Good job beating a mid major? We have to win these, and I’ve said turn it around let’s go? But we can’t recruit, we’re not winning to UK standards. I realize you’re easily persuaded by coaching press conferences and lose sight of who Kentucky is, but we’ve been terrible. Not bad, terrible. Nowhere near the standard here. If they want to change that then do it. But you tucking tail u til you find some kind of win in your mind is hilarious. Kentucky is unranked, been slaughtered all year, our program is in trouble with these contracts and you want to pretend all is fine over a win against ST. John’s? Maybe you need to wait until we make a final four or win a title. Which is what we do here.

I’ll take it all day and I’ll take JQ playing all day. But until we hang banners and dominate this league, I’m not giving a damn. Win to the standard then I’ll really celebrate.
I was raising hell early on in the game thread. I knwo all about it. I get passionate about UK sports lol. I just want UK to be good again.

I’m not knocking your basketball acumen. You make some solid points. I do think however you didnt take our injuries at key positions into consideration. You saw the importance of having a productive point guard and a center like JQ. Wouldn’t you agree?

If you dont give a damn then why say anything. This game brings a lot of joy for a lot of people and it's the first game we've played with our whole team. I don't know how the years is gonna turn out I mean low as an entry away and we do only have one point guard which should've never happened and I'll always worry about JQs knee but this thing showed effort, grit and determination and also they are becoming one of the best defensive teams in the country. The bad offense covered a lot of that up, but this team is starting to turn it around and that is something to celebrate..
What an awful thread. We are far better than we were. We have a defensive identity and there is a path to get the offense going. We could win the sEC. JQ is a beast, Lowe is playing through pain. The team has more upside than most give credit for. The key now is to find some lineups with cam Chandler and Aberdeen
Everything isn’t fine, but we are trending well with IU and St. John’s wins and a semblance of health.
Who is the midmajor? Not St. John’s or IU.
Because the standards are not going to be lowered here. a down year “here and there” is acceptable. We are on

2. 13 years without a title
3. No elite 8 since 2017
4. Couldn’t tell you the last time we won the SEC
IF we sit back and accept that, then we’re Indiana. And we are slowly turning into that. Glad to win I’m always glad to try and stop the bleeding but I’m not accepting this as Kentucky standards. Enjoy the win and also realize this isn’t Kentucky standards. I don’t see what’s hard about this.

Oh St. John’s is definitely a mid program. All day. They’re a little better than usual given Pitino and they’re not mid as in, say, morehead. But St. John’s isn’t what I’d call close to a power program. Not at all, no way.
I agree with what you’re saying. It’s not fine but good to see tending up at least for now in this season. All I’m telling the calboy pumpers is we are not near our standard. They did the same stuff when Calipari would win a game lol. Go 0-9 against ranked teams, beat number 22, then do this same crap.
Big East basketball isn’t mid-major. UConn. Nova. St John’s made a run just last year.
