The team he will be playing for at IU will be at a different level than what he played for at Cincinnati.
If this happens there is no reason to believe that he will not have a great year there.

This year, Mendoza's NIL at IND was for $ 2.4 Million. All that got him was additional endorsements and the Heisman trophy. I imagine Cig is more about the overall team than one player, even though that one player is a huge part of the plan.
This NIL money is getting way out of line. Why not just form professional teams for colleges, these professional players would represent the schools for pure entertainment purposes only on Saturdays doing away with amateur athletics altogether in college, but of course the NFL would sue. 
They should take every penny they can get. Most of these guys have 5 years to make money for being good at FB.
