How many kids on the USA were snatched by non-relatives last year? Like scooped off the street by strangers?

I know of 2 failed attempts where people I know personally stopped them. The would-be traffickers were not related in any way. Not even the same genetic makeup.

The movie is about (1) people using 3rd world countries like their private islands so they can travel and abuse children/others and (2) kids from those countries being trafficked within and to those who would secretly take them home to perpetuate the abuse. I suspect the former is the most common. Pedophiles traveling to other countries to abuse kids. If the market is supported by people in first world countries, first world countries need to take an active role.

Nightwish, just read through your posts to conservatives. Last week or so, on the political board, you went on a rampage with bait and childish attack after childish attack. And, whenever someone complains about something you don’t think is worthy of complaint, namely because you are a liberal, you chide and shame them for their posts. It’s your gig with more conservative people. You don’t engage in substance, you chastise them for caring about something you don’t want to hear about. Only when you care about something, do you sincerely engage. That is not respectful.

If you want a mature conversation about the subject, stop focusing on those who see the issue differently.
Trying the angelic routine again? Meh, you once went off the rails and called me a racist and misogynist in an attempt to bait. You won't find evidence to back up those absurd claims in any post of mine, yet you went personal. You took things to a 10 when they were barely at a 2. Since then, you've repeatedly called me names, nonstop quoted me, and highlighted my name in an effort to bait, as if you need a villain. You enjoy baiting, as I occasionally do. We're all guilty of it. Thing is, I've never went personal with you. At one point, you kept "calling me out" in various, random threads that I hadn't posted in. I finally had to tell you to stop because it was weird and obsessive. You're going in that direction again. There's no reason to continually call me out and then paint you and others here as always the innocent. Never been called a racist or misogynist in my life until I began posting here and a couple people who enjoy trolling went in that silly direction just to get a reaction.

The political thread is what it is. It's a place where you can let loose emotionally and be overly dramatic. Conservatives are often called cultists there and liberals are often called pedophiles and traitors. It's actually pretty stupid but still fun to sometimes mix it up there. Wesley and I disagree politically yet we're able to converse in the Wrestling Thread and be civil. You take things so personally that you're unable to do that most of the time, with me especially.

So again, enjoy the film and the important topic and problem of human trafficking. My posts here that I deleted so hopefully the focus would be on the subject matter and not poking at me, were respectful. I have a memory, my man. You can paint me as an awful poster or person or whatever, but it was you who went personal and then wouldn't stop calling me out in threads I wasn't even apart of. Just chill and enjoy your summer. And if you really believe I'm actually a racist or that I hate women as you claimed, just ignore me. Problem solved.

That is a lot to read. I may get back to it later, but not wasting my time now. I respond to you when you engage in your typical schtick.

I haven't seen the movie but I was on a shuttle for an hour to Newark airport with this guy and it was a couple of weeks before the Meadowlands was hosting the Super Bowl, 2014 I think. We were talking about our jobs and he worked for a company handling.the security in and around the game and was there to do some of the preliminary work to get ready for the Super Bowl. I' asked him if the biggest thing they're worried about is terrorism and he said it's a worry but he said the biggest problem by far at these events is human trafficking. I told him I had no idea and I remember he told me that most people have no idea what a huge problem this is.

I don't know what to make of human trafficking today. For example, I was in a stall taking a leak at the Seattle Airport on Saturday (because those woke weirdos got rid of the men's bathrooms in terminal D and made them all unisex) and they had a poster up notifying you to contact this number if you are being trafficked. During a Braves game the other day they had a commercial for numbers to call if you are being trafficked.

I am not at all saying that trafficking isn't going on, but I'd like to know the following:

1) How many people are being trafficked through major US airports?
2) Why would these people be scared to say something to say TSA or something as they go through security, but okay to make a phone call from the bathroom?
3) Who being tafficked is watching a baseball game and is like, "hey, wait a second, I'm being trafficked while watching this baseball game. I should call this help line."

Yeah it’s a bunch of garbage that they can run those ads and get to write them off as donations in kind. Zero positive, 100% negative effect.

Evidently Disney buried this movie for 5 years and refused to release it... this might explain why:

Bad is a social construct they say... - meme

Or you could argue that it was simply a casualty of a multibillion dollar corporate acquisition and plans there were made under one group of leadership aren't the same plans under different leaders. I'm sure there are plenty of other films that were scrapped because Disney acquired Fox. The movie being delayed for years isn't something unusual

There was no ulterior motive to my questions. On the face of it, without the data to support what they are doing I legitimately think a lot of the trafficking awareness stuff is useless. I'd rather have them use resources to clamp down on where trafficking is likely occuring (spas, foreign travel, etc.)

It happens way more than you think. Sometimes randomly, but more times than not it’s targeted. My church has been involved with the End It movement since 2014, back before many people even thought about trafficking. Traffickers build friendships with kids online through catfishing. They find kids who are likely to run away from home. They either convince them to & grab them or straight grab them after stalking them. Many times, the kids are listed as runaways and not as being kidnapped. No clue if the movie shows this though as I haven’t seen it. Just what I know from what I learned and from my sister who works in children’s mental health.

Woah woah woah Oppenheimer

You used too many fancy words. These posters need this distilled down to 120 characters or perhaps a meme format.

They are likely kids and have no idea what to do.

Probably not something I’d pay to watch, but might check it out when it hits streaming. If other people like it, that’s cool.

Used to work with a couple of ladies who are very pro-abortion. When I tried to show them what actually happens to a fetus, they lost their minds and screamed that they did not want to know. They believe as long as they are not aware, it is ok.
I’d think almost nobody that is in favor of abortion, especially mid and late term, has ever seen video of one.

It is AMAZING the lengths that some people go to... to avoid renouncing human trafficking and pedophilia. Stunning...

SMMFH.

There were a lot of very influential intellectuals who were well documented saying that children under 15 are old enough to give consent. So yeah, I’d say that it’s probably more common than you think

Gross. And weird that members of the state legislatures of Missouri, Arkansas and Wyoming all tried to create provisions to allow for lowering the age of consent to children under 16 with parental consent. So it must be more popular than any of us seem to think.

I have not seen the movie. But I've spoken to several folks that have. The gamete of emotions they speak about going through watching that movie is just unbelievable. Part of me wants to see it for myself, and another part of me doesn't.

That's pretty accurate IMHO- plenty of people in the audience were openly weeping during certain scenes... and then the "anger" sets in... not for the faint of heart.

If you follow current events (Epstein island, etc)... it'll be pretty easy to get angry.

I took a political science course in college a decade ago that covered sex trafficking, and a close friend’s father is now on the board for an organization trying to combat sex trafficking.

Airports are huge because a lot of the girls are foreign. Like JDhoss said, they are promised jobs if they come to the States. Then once they are here they will fly them to other cities for large events or specific clientele.

Sporting events are massive for sex trafficking. The Super Bowl and Derby bring in a ton of people being trafficked.

You’re finding out that a lot of people being seen as prostitutes are actually being forced in to it. One tactic they use is to get the girls hooked on drugs. Then they will keep the drugs from them until they start going through withdrawals, and then give them some more. Complete physical and mental abuse.

That’s honestly the biggest reason I’m against cities loosening up their laws on prostitution. They’re creating more of a safe haven For sex traffickers.

Secular leftists like Nightwish have provided the ideology that has created the moral vacuum in which trafficking thrives.

Planned parenthood literally sells baby body parts and they turn the other way because of their religion/political commitments. It’s sickening.

My biggest problem is the OP goes to a movie theater without pre buying a ticket or choosing his seat. Child trafficking is bad enough but what he did was preventable.

No, I did pre buy: all the seats were taken ezcept 2... and suffice it to say I had the worst seats in the theater lol.
Haha I gotcha, just being silly. Glad you were able to see it. I plan on going if nothing else to give it more sales and awareness.

Again, as someone else said, how do you politicize selling and raping children? Even if some things were exaggerated or whatever who cares? The point is the point and if you’re against child kidnap/sales/rape/torture/murder, I’d think you’d be all for this.

Agree... yet here we are.

To be clear... there's only one side politicizing it... and everybody knows why...
