I do think this is one of the greatest coaching efforts in college basketball history.

You take a group of 12 brand new players without one single returner, who were thrown together in 6 weeks, beat 6 top 15 teams and end up as a top 10 team by late January.

All the while playing without three rotation players?

Pope should get coach of the year. Even if UK only wins 20 games. What he's done has been historically unprecedented.

I don’t disagree, having carrs 10-15 ppg would help a lot though
I agree with you about Carr's points but we are currently getting those points from Almonor and his 3-point shooting is really causing defensive issues for our opponents. Remember, UT's defense is the best in the SEC and they were unable do much of anything to slowdown UK's offense.

His points will just go to someone else. We just put up 1.24 points per possession against the second best statistical defense in the country. Our efficiency per 100 possessions is higher now than before the Tennessee game.

Can we count on that trend continuing? Probably not. But I think from a scoring point of view we have guys who can fill his shoes in the short term.

Can't argue with the results, but yes I cringed every time he brought the ball up last night. There's just something about how he dribbles that is incredibly nerve wracking.
Looks like he’s about to turn it over at any second lol. I get nervous

I’m more looking at it from with Almanor going now, you can add carrs points and become even better offensively

If it was a "bet able" prop probably a few grand
Damn, butler just seems like a guy who is gonna try to do everything in his power to play, especially being his last year. Saturday might be to early, but I bet he will for sure be back by the latest being the scar game.

I know everyone wants this win, but keep your eye on the prize and thats March. We need a healthy Butler, and he keeps getting banged up. Just like what happened to Grady and TyTy.

If we must play Butler this game because of its importance, then I'd like to give him next game off regardless.

Might sound silly but this team needs a PG for march. If he's not healthy then we can't rush him back.
