That’s coach speak. I listened to this. This is not how I took it. He also said that they will continue to need help with everyone on the team to run the point for the foreseeable future
Yeah, I think he was half joking, but it did kind of feel like Butler's issue is not a long term thing.

Krisa won’t be back for awhile still, if he comes back earlier they are rushing him. Carr is anybodies guess
I do think this is one of the greatest coaching efforts in college basketball history.

Pope should get coach of the year. Even if UK only wins 20 games. What he's done has been historically unprecedented.

If Almonor keeps shooting the 3 as he has been, I don't think we are hurt that much by the smaller lineup. As for Butler, we need him back ASAP.
I don’t disagree, having carrs 10-15 ppg would help a lot though
Think Kerr K. might want to take a medical hardship year and come back as the starting point guard next season.

I agree with you about Carr's points but we are currently getting those points from Almonor and his 3-point shooting is really causing defensive issues for our opponents. Remember, UT's defense is the best in the SEC and they were unable do much of anything to slowdown UK's offense.
His points will just go to someone else. We just put up 1.24 points per possession against the second best statistical defense in the country. Our efficiency per 100 possessions is higher now than before the Tennessee game.
Can we count on that trend continuing? Probably not. But I think from a scoring point of view we have guys who can fill his shoes in the short term.
Just play Amari at the point all game Saturday. Do you think Cal watched tape on the UT game and knows that's a wrinkle he'd have to worry about game planning for?

Can't argue with the results, but yes I cringed every time he brought the ball up last night. There's just something about how he dribbles that is incredibly nerve wracking.

Honestly, I'd take Ansley over Andrew, Anley spreads the court a lot more, you can't help off of him.
Carr is definitely better in the paint, but I'm not sure his back is ever going to be fully healed this season.
He don't have to be starting point guard but the thought did cross my mind whether or not he was eligible for a med redshirt. Him on the team next season would be helpful no doubt.

Yeah, I knew Oweh was gonna be very sore after that. You don't fall 8-10 feet with momentum onto hardwood (with concrete underneath) and not feel it the next day, no matter how fit you are.

Damn, butler just seems like a guy who is gonna try to do everything in his power to play, especially being his last year. Saturday might be to early, but I bet he will for sure be back by the latest being the scar game.
It has to be a 100% healthy Butler though. I think having a hobbled Butler cost us the Vanderbilt game and probably the Alabama game (Not a knock on Butler - hurt is hurt)

I know everyone wants this win, but keep your eye on the prize and thats March. We need a healthy Butler, and he keeps getting banged up. Just like what happened to Grady and TyTy.

I like him as a key reserve next season. We will need to get a guy out of the portal to be our starting PG.

He's a great backup though.
Especially helps on games we go a little cold. Carr is our most consistent post up option
