The open period lasts weeks. Why at the stroke of midnight on the first day??
Can we agree that’s stupid . The ONLY reasonable explanation I can think of is the coaches wanna show what they are willing to do to land him. He’s going to an Adidas school . Pope never had a chance.

Coaches have always done that. It's a short window and they want to make an impression on the players they want.
