IMO The sad pert in ALL this is it’s out of fear and an over reaction not based on statistics. I watched NAPCAR last night and there were fans (spaced). A friend of mine flew on an airplane last week and it was fairly crowded side by side in seats breathing recirculating air. If society can do all that then football can happen and should be able to happen in some form. If a team has to forfeit, reschedule, or play short staffed then so be it. The competition is going through the same thing.
This stuff isn’t generally NOT fatal to healthy young people. Maybe there’s too many old unhealthy coaches & ADs who are worried and about themselves & lawsuits. I don’t know I just don’t see a football season and it’s a shame. Maybe it’s what the sport as a whole needs-a reset for perspective. Still sad.
I hope the high schools at least have it. If colleges or the pros miss out, so be it, but 17 year old kids only get 1 shot at their Sr year of high school football. For most it’s the last time they get to play ever. I hope they get their last season.
