It looks like everything is on the line for these two teams tonight as they play for who will be the worst team in the SEC. The winner gets a chance at 5 wins and the loser gets the trophy for worst team in the SEC. While we have been improving leaps and bounds every year, these two have been sliding down the perverbial well.

Thank God we are not in that position any longer!!!!!!

Not sure if serious. Vanderbilt has won 4 of 5 against UK.

I will take the direction we are heading over either of those teams. We look good for a 7 win season. They are both looking at 4-5 wins. I like where we stand

I'm still not sure if this guy is a Louisville fan or just overly optimistic all the time.

Many "experts" are high on Candy. I think they'll be the same this year that they were last year. Excellent defense, bad offense, and middling record. UK needs to beat them.

agree. I think Vandy is better than Mizzou & South Carolina. we will be 3-0 against all 3.

UK needs to be 3-0 in those games but will they? UK's closer talent-wise to those teams than the Bamas, LSUs, Ole Misses of the SEC.

Yeah, I would like to add Mizzou to the list of contenders for the bottom spot. We beat USC last year, and I think proved that we have a better team than Vandy, but not good enough to make stupid mistakes and have bad turnovers and still win..

I see you guys are still taking this trolls bait. Don't feel bad, the mods have been doing the same thing for years as well.

I think this first week will tell a ton about how the bad half of the SEC East will shake out. It's anybody's guess right now. West Virginia should be an order of magnitude better than any of UK/Mizzou/USC/Vandy ... so really interested to see how Mizzou fairs against them on Saturday.

The bottom line is that there is not much separating Vandy, Mizzou, UK and SC. These teams are not expected to challenge TN, FL and GA and games between these 4 teams will likely be free for alls.

> Vandy and MO are terrible on offense but at least have a proven defense to fall back on.

> UK potentially has some offense.

> SC has nothing to hang their hat on.

Number 4 in the SECE will depend on games against each other AND your cross division game(s). Cross division games are:

SC gets aTm at home plus MSU in Starkville
Vandy gets Ole Miss in Nashville plus Auburn on the plains
Mizzou gets AR at home plus LSU in Columbia
UK gets MSU at home plus AL in Tuscaloosa

So 3 teams (Vandy, MO and UK) draw an "automatic" cross division loss. SC gets the best cross division schedule but are they good enough to take advantage of it?

UK just has to get 3 wins from Vandy, MO, SC, MSU group. With 3 of those at home I think they do.

Peace

Nooo I fully believe it will be USCjr and Mizzou for last place. Vandy should beat them both.

UK can beat Florida, just saying. Not pointing to them having a great chance of winning or even saying that they will win. But it isn't a blowout game. Florida doesn't have the team. Florida's offense wont be much, they lose their top 3 playmakers and they lose key players on defense, including NFL players. No way Florida wins by much.

What you say about FL may well be true, they may not have the team to blow people out. But most pundits and polls still have them in their Top 25. The pre-season power rankings have UK anywhere from an 11 to a 20 point road 'dawg in that one. Odds history says an 11-14 point 'dawg will win about 21% of the time but it gets a lot less likely at 15 or more.

Kentucky will be fighting South Carolina, Vandy, and Missouri to stay out of the SEC East cellar. Tenn, Georgia, and Florida still have more talent so it will always be a huge upset to beat one of those teams. Six wins is possible but it will take some luck.
