They say nice things about Northwestern as an option.

It could be between the two former Duke coaches.

He's been a star the last two years (arguably a budding star at the Air Force Academy). But only played a handful of games within driving distance of home.

All excellent choices and he'll get major minutes at any one. He's probably walking into a starting role and more visibility to showcase his game. All capable, charismatic coaches. Not sure what Utah does other than he gets to play for his former coach.

Creighton may be too similar to what he's leaving and too inconvenient for the family.

No doubt Texas Tech is rock solid team....but Lubbock isn't close.

He goes to NU his parents can drive to more than half the games.

He goes to Arizona his parents can rent a house and hang in Phoenix for the winter.

If he goes to NU, the Cats are a top three or four Big Ten team to start the season.

Yep, a lot of good reasons to choose NU. Not the least of which that the two starting guards both graduated. He will play 30 minutes a game at NU.

I think we will know a lot about how important proximity to family is if he makes a decision shortly after this weekend, or whether he makes all his planned visits to ASU, Utah State and Texas Tech.

I’m optimistic he pulls a “Nance” and cancels the remaining visits after hearing out NU.
