Now they can get ready for the first game of the year at North Stokes on August 23. Last time these two played was a 14 to 13 win for South as North fumbled on the half yard line going in for the winning score with less than 10 seconds remaining.

North Stokes opens with three home games against teams from the YVC.... South Davidson August 23; North Moore August 30 and Chatham Central September 6.
Best of luck to Coach Hill. Usually I’m not a fan of non-faculty head coaches... but in this case, he’s been there for a good long time, he’s from the area....

Best of luck and congratulations to Coach Hill. Sounds like he has paid his dues and deserves a shot. He should get a mulligan this year since they're so late even hiring a coach. I like what he has to say about building a JV program. I'll be monitoring them this year. Got another team to root for!
Looking forward to another great game between South Davidson and North Stokes on the 23rd of August. Glad they have a coach and can move forward now. So South has 28 kids out so far. Coach is looking to add a few more kids and is hopeful that they can field a JV as well with some help from the 8-quarter rule for juniors.
P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E is the key for the folks in Denton this year and for the next year or two. This isn’t a quick-turnaround.. It’s going to take some time.
Keep in mind that this school has been in existence since 1989 and has NEVER finished above .500
Just three seasons in a row of 6-6 ball back in 2001-2003.
Interestingly enough, the coach at the helm during those 3 seasons is recently retired and has agreed to come help out. That’s pretty awesome.
