Game of the week is the top one..too bad it’s parents only and a few girlfriends in the stands. Newton and West be a good one too.

Maiden varsity without seniors vs Lake Norman Charter on Thursday. The game will not count as a conference game.
Just for the record, Maiden isn't playing varsity kids against Lake Norman Charter. It is just a JV game being played on Thursday night.
I don't have a dog in the fight this week but I'll take a few guesses.
North wins in a close one...1 or 2 points, possibly in OT.
Lincolnton wins, I believe they're both evenly matched, speed edge goes to L and they have home field advantage.
West is on the edge of winning and Newton is one of those teams that are talented but not consistent. West takes away a win as long as they don't turn it over.
As for Maiden...if we don't address our turnover issues we'll not win another game. Hopefully Byrne is pounding this issue home with the kids during the bye.

North Lincoln got beat by a better team. East Lincoln is the most talented team in the South Fork 2A this season.
I’m sure they did. Kinda hard to bounce back after losing 3 D1 defensive players and
3 great guys in the offensive backfield to graduation. Some schools can reload some go through major talent loss and rebuild. North should win out til playoffs and this year playoffs will be tight as to who gets in and who don’t from what u understand. I’ve seen an 8-3 team not make it(East Burke 96’)
North Lincoln had two critical turnovers that East Lincoln capitalized on. A fumble late in the 1st half and a bad punt snap early in the 3rd quarter. East Lincoln had a balanced offense with equal pass and rush results. Very effective indeed!

Ole East don’t stay down long. The 2 year run North had on them I knew would be short lived but good to see them play close. Maybe they’ll meet again in the playoffs. Does North have good QB and RB to get things done? I know the JVs of 2 years ago were winning a lot of games but not by huge margins and these are the same kids now stepping up and I’d imagine they’ll really have to step up after losing Ty Williams and Sorus and a bunch of others. I just hope Bazzel sticks around a while but he’s getting up there like Tom Brown and Biggerstaff. Tom will be missed

Me too. 3A here they come. I’m really liking their conference. It’s pretty much the old Hickory area 3A of the 90s with North and East minus South Caldwell. That’s not only difference but only one I can think of at the moment.
North will still fair well in this conference in many sports, football maybe not so much when or after Bazzel leaves. It’ll be exciting til playoff time then one and done for many of these teams til they change again
