Here we are ALREADY in week 4, as if all this isn’t coming fast enough and before we know it it’s cold it’s playoffs and basketball kicks off. Some pretty good football yet to come so let’s hear it.
Lincolnton and EGaston- a much needed first win and will get it unless a bunch of Lincolnton players gets hurt in practice or gets in trouble. A major hats off to the wolves for a tough schedule and a close game to a soild team last week. Lincolnton pouring it on by as many as they want, I’ll say 35 to 7
Newton and East Burke- a classic non conf matchup going way back. Dispite the meltdown from Hickory last week I see Newton bouncing back and taking this one by at least 3 scores. EB may come out strong but won’t hold. Hate to see this program get to what’s it’s gotten but what can you do when there’s no athletes in Hildebran. Newton 28 EB 7
East Lincoln and NGaston- use the subs and keep fresh players and this should be easy. But still a clash of Titian’s with these 2. Keep throwing East, it’s working. EL 35 NG 21
North Lincoln and Alexander Central- North is playing strong and Cribb is getting it done on the ground. So is ACentral. May be one of the best games in area. 2 teams with 2 great coaches, expect a good one for at least a couple quarters...or one. ACentral is one of the only teams in area that would give Hibriten a fit or even a challenge, they dismantled Burns and is a conf favorite. Expect North to give them their best but it won’t be enough. ACentral 35 NL14
West Lincoln and Foard- I’d say a lot of Alum from both schools like to hang out at Waynos silver Bullet ha ha. A country boy battle that never gets old. West is bringing the heat so far this year even though they havnt really beat anyone major. I’ll give them the edge WL 28 Foard 21
Bandys and BHill- if your a fan and like to fish, by all means go fishing. Or see another game unless your sons playing.
Bandys 48 BH 0
Maiden and St Stephens- usually when these 2 get together it’s a Maiden blowout. Maiden takes care of business but Saint won’t be a pushover team. Maiden 35 STS 21
