There a story behind why he isn’t returning but I don’t feel it’s appropriate to share on a public forum. I knew this was coming before playoffs started
When something like this is referenced - it usually has to do with 1 of about 3 things: misuse of money, inappropriate relationships, or lack of administration support/being pushed out by admin.
It may the last one but No I’ll just say this there was a incident with SIHC and SI Student Section is all I can say about it
Yikes - that's tough. Tough to see a program that was always pretty competitive for so long under Scott Miller be so down now.
Maybe with the right kind of money they can get Tommy Knotts to come.. Probably would have to come up with millions to get him to come. I’m just joking on that one. Plus I would imagine he is getting close to retiring anyway.

Be nice to bring back JK Adkins, but NA he has too much going for him at MT Airy plus bigger pay.

Lowman and Adkins both would be stupid to leave their current situation to go there. Snow is done coaching.
I doubt anyone above comes to SI - Lowman would go to bigger program imo - Adkins is at a good program - I would highly doubt Coach Snow goes to SI

Agreed - no way are either of those leaving those positions. They each have two of the best and most attractive jobs in the state with no signs of either having a down year anytime soon. Nothing against SI, but it's not a very desirable job to have right now. 10 years ago? They would have to shut down the application process.
I think Lowman could be looking to get closer to home. Lincolnton is open and I believe another CVAC job might opening soon…
Thats not good for South Iredell back to back years can't keep a HC. Some of the South kids can probably transfer over to Statesville and play for Rydell Cowan if they wanted to.
I haven’t heard anything yet about any hire for South Iredell. I’m not sure why he left. But it is concerning losing 3 coaches in 3 years. Hopefully they will get a good hire. I just wish the best for the last coach they had that left.
at this point, I dont know if it is or isnt open but I would be shocked if the current HC stayed but i was told by 2 local coaches that it was going to open so unless they made a compromise or something so only time will tell
So what caused them to go down hill? Just a few years ago SI was winning?
Admin was issue but they have new admin team and AD in so they will get better with time. SI being 4A is another issue and also IB is issue and Just not a lot talent imo rn so
I’m curious to see how the new Weathers Creek High on Overcash rd will change things with surrounding schools like South Iredell. You can pull up Weathers Creek High on YouTube. They have a video showing what the school will look like. It showed the basketball gym and inside some of the school and it looked like state of art. Very nice basketball gym. From what I heard is that this got pushed back until 2025 to be done. Still needing funds to complete. Also the school will accommodate 1600 students from what I heard.
