This game will b for third place in the Big South Conference. Both teams lost to Crest and KM. Most people believe that the Big South will only put three teams in the playoffs. Offensively SP has out scored Forestview 191 - 117. Whereas defensively Forestview has given up only 94 points compared to South Points 117.
This has the makings for a great game. South Point’s defense has got to be better than it was last night against Ashbrook, if they expect to win. Ashbrook turned the ball over three times. Each time they were driving and eating clock. Baring those turnovers I’m not sure SP wins that one.
i haven’t seen Forestview play this year. So I’m not sure where their weaknesses lie.
GO BIG RED !

I think the Big South will get 5 teams in. 32 of the 54 teams in the 3A West will make the playoffs. 4th and 5th in the Big South should have the numbers to get in. Teams with 5 or less teams get 1 automatic qualifier and teams with 6 or more get 2. Split con teams must finish in top 3 and have .500 record to have an automatic bid. All the other spots will be wild cards.

I saw Crest and FV play. Offensively they did not do much against Crest. Crest ran the ball very well against them. FV has some big guys on defensive line. But, I only saw 31 dressed players for them.I heard they had some players out. Still think it will be a tough game against the Raiders.

I heard the same (FV had a bunch of people out).

Smash you may be correct. Five teams from one conference seems kinda ridiculous to me. If thats the case , in my opinion they should drop the first round. Again just my opinion but to me the playoffs should be a reward for a good conference finish and not a reward for mediocrity. I’m not interested in seeing SP finish 4th in the Big South, going in as a 10 seed,
traveling to who knows where and getting their rear ends handed to them.

It's going to be all about that RPI once you automatic seeds are placed. Teams are going to benefit from playing teams that play good teams. So (example) by Crest playing Shelby it benefits Cramer and Forestview.

No splits so of course add an extra round ($$$$$$$$). Same number getting in as with the split but now just one champ.

I have to mention I do like the "adjustments" to the SP offense made for the Ashbrook game. Forestview has a pretty good passing game and that can reap havoc for the SP defense. Truth is, after seeing FV/Crest game I think SP is capable of winning this one big. It will take SP continuing to make adjustments on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe even passing the ball on downs not requiring 30 to 35 yards to get a first down and running something other than fullback up either side of the guards. It is up for grabs! Can't wait to see this one. Do the "adjustment makers" and the "adjustment doers" want it bad enough?!?!?! We will see tomorrow night. .....

I'm not really sure about this game. I would like to see SP have a complete game. Offense and defense on the same page the whole game. This year's team has talent on both sides of the ball. Adjustments during the game are crucial to any teams success. SP is capable of winning tonight but, losing they are as just as capable. Looking for a complete game. We will see tonight! GO BIG RED !!!

I agree to a degree RR. I didn’t think they used Riliey enough. Of course in the past they overuse him. I do agree they need to throw the ball when everybody in the stadium isn’t expecting them to.

Someone please post updated scores on here. This is the only SP game I’ll miss this year.

SP not moving the ball well. FV defense front 7 playing well. #12 has thrown an interception that set up FV score.
