In a nice way, can someone share what made the program close for this year. Injuries? Kids not finishing? What happens next season? I know CATA did a jv schedule for a year to bring the numbers back.

Correct. Had several quit the week the season was forfeited. Numbers were not an issue going into the season. Was told they were actually strong.
Total agreement. This schedule is unfair to the size of enrollment. No coach or player can expect much playing the non-conference schedule of 3A along with the top 3 in their conference. Who scheduled these teams? Did anyone expect this to be a winning effort?
Correct. The blame the first couple of games was on the new DC but he didn’t allow more than 44 points in each of the two games then when the HC took back the D it was 60+ bombs every week.

Maybe its that god-awful mascot they have... RowDeeRehBulBulls... RowDeeRehBuBubbleBulls... Whatever it is.
Non conference against West Stanly, SW Randolph, Carson, Central Davidson, and South Davidson. West Stanly is the neighboring district, county rival, and a good gate. That is a game they schedule. The SD games is somewhat sensible but the others one not so much. Carson is a weak 3A team but still a tough game for a better than average 1A school much less South Stanly.
Not sure what schools they could have scheduled that would have made sense from a competition level without heavy travel. I would have thought Chatham Central and Jordan Matthews would have been better thatn Carson and Central. Just guessing. Wish the kids and staff the best.

Sometimes it’s hard to find schools to play non- conference that are comparable in skill level. I know Albemarle had trouble last year in finding enough teams to fill out their schedule and even had to schedule Owens which is a three hour drive.
