this week. If they are let in it helps solve SWSC issues. If not....

If Stagg bolts the SWSC, that will leave 12 schools to presumably form 2 divisions of 6. Therefore, one of 4 schools with similar enrollments (LWC, LWW, Bradley and Andrew) in that 1900-2100 range will get bumped up with the Big 5 whose lowest enrollment is 2733 (H-F). Somebody will not be happy?

You have a pretty good feel for the south burbs, how do you think the vote goes?

Lean towards no but not 100 sure. It always comes down to football and RB has been decent and while Stagg has struggled, they have 550 to 1200 more kids then everyone else and wouldn't be 0-9 in the SSC.

I predict the Thorns branch off to the Southland at some point.

"What goes around comes around." Some 10-12 years ago, that was going to happen until the lawsuit concerning racial bias toward those schools east of I-57 resulted in the inclusion of the Thorns into the SWSC.

Stagg (Football and closer travel purposes) and RB (Football and better competition) would love to join the SSC.

Why would the SSC need Stagg and RB?
SSC has no scheduling/Competition level issues among its current members.
SSC would add 2 larger enrollment schools.
RB and Stagg have way better fringe sports (Swimming, Tennis, Cross Country, etc.)

My guess is NO, but you never know who is making the decision? Is it the ADs, Principals, or the Supers?

The SSC split seems to be a split of geography plus expediency of district blocs - would RB and Stagg both end up with the more northwesterly schools (with Ike likely moving with the South schools), or does Stagg go "south" and RB "north"?

I would imagine both RB and Stagg would be north along with:
Reavis, Argo, EP, Lemont, OL, Richards.

South: 218-Shepard, IKE 215-TFS, TFN, 228-HC, Bremen, OF, TP

I know Bolingbrook has openly stated they aren't changing conferences but with the DVC ready to break up I wonder if they will reconsider since the Southwest Suburban has an odd set up with 13 teams. Stagg leaving would have made this a none issue but that obviously isn't happening now.
