Kickoffs - We really go used to not having to cover KO return as Stoudt put 99% in the EZ. we do not seem to have that now. We are covering nicely, but we have not seen a great returner yet. I like the in the EZ and ball on 25 even though we stopped most of the returns better than that.
Kick returns - at this point getting ball to 25 is about as good as we look. I thought that Ford was our best guy at this. Evans return was really not smart.
Punting - Amor is better than expected. He may not be able to create the giant punts that Stoudt did, but still has plenty of leg, and maybe the best 9 iron in the BIG. Gives 1 yr for Alex to get together and take over next year.
Punt Returns - Parker pretty effective on an avg net basis. Probably can lose yds more than Jahan would have.
Placekicking - this may be a concern. Even the extra point feels like a tense moment. Not sure the issue, but in a tight game you cannot lose these points. To say we need TDs is fine, but in a game 31-28 type game, you need every point. Imagine losing that FG and an extra point - you lose 28-27 instead of winning. To say the FG should have gotten a TD cannot be why this would be a loss - the missed kicking would have lost the game.
