Spencer Lee interview: Great watch

I hadn't seen Spencer give an interview since the tournament until today. This was released a few days ago but it's a great watch. He makes no excuses, gives credit to Ramos for beating him an talks about a lot of good stuff. It's a great watch. Anyone who is a fan of wrestling should enjoy this interview.

I sure give Spencer credit for making no excuses for losing at the NCAA tournament. He said give Ramos all the credit. Sounds like he "got in his head" and started thinking too much in his last match. Funny-now he is hoping to compete in 2024 Olympics and many of us would root for him (I would think) if he competes for USA next year. He sure loves wrestling and wants the sports to grow. He is a tough competitor-hard to hate him after hearing this.
He did discuss the rigors of training and making weight-"I can not eat." Plus he had to recover from major knee injuries.

The thing I appreciated was his honesty about the pressure he felt from fans' expectations. If he looked a little sluggish in getting a 2nd period tech instead of 1st period, fans would say he looked gassed or he must be sick or he was hurting instead of realizing that his opponent just might be wrestling tough and still got teched. Nothing is ever good enough for fans it seems. Hey I guess these kids do have feelings and maybe do look at social media.
